I've kind of posted a photo of this before. I haven't really
featured it though. This is a gunbelt and holster made
by Ted Blocker. The model is called "The Duke". Anybody
who is a fan of John Wayne's Western movies will recognize
this as a reproduction of his rig, for the most part.

It is rough out, but it is not a money belt.
It was made for a 6.5" BBL, single action (of course).

I am not a big fan of how the holster is held onto the belt.
A little too modern for me. The screws help the holster
stay into the position of your choosing. I'd prefer no
screws on my leather of this type, but I bought it
YEARS ago before I really knew what I liked so
that is that. Overall all it is an awesome rig.

I don't think they make this model anymore.
I'm sure somebody else does.

My son took his grandma and I to the Zoppé Italian
Family Circus. The Zoppé Italian Family Circus started
some 160 years ago in Venice, Italy. This photo shows
the tightrope artist Molly Plunk. She is great and a lot
of fun to watch as she dances an Irish jig across the wire.

I will probably show more photos of the circus
in the future, but unfortunately I am not too good
with my phone's camera, so half-way decent
photos from the circus are kind of rare.

They said we are free to share photos and probably
videos if we would just get the word out that we
enjoyed their show. We totally did. They also said
that if we did NOT enjoy the show, to please not
say anything to anybody. Circus humor.
That was good too.

Oh yeah, the guy on the right is Nino the Clown.
This guy seems to be a circus jack of all trades. He
keeps the entire show going and he works HARD
(as they all do). He had me rolling more than once.

After the show all of the performers lined the exit to
say "Good-bye" and "Thank you for coming" to all of
us as we filed out of the tent. Nino was in there and
I went over just to say thanks and he gave me big
ol' hug. What a great way to say
good-night to the circus.

I bought this in, I'm going to say.... 1983.
I have the paperwork for it someplace in my file
cabinet, but I am going to guess about 1983.

This is an "Original 'Dirty Harry' Shoulder Holster".
I had it made for a Smith & Wesson revolver that
I had at the time.

The back of the holster. The only thing in this photo
that I never saw Harry Callahan use was the pouch at
the end of the harness. It is for a speedloader.

I don't know who made the original holster for
Mr. Callahan (a few companies seem to claim that title)
but "Cattle Baron Leather Company" made this one.
I never used it, I just wanted to have one.

At Borden Cinema "Good Guys Wear Black" and
sometimes brown. Chuck Norris in 1978 stars in
another drive-in blockbuster.

In Vietnam all the other Black Tigers are carrying Colt
1911s and such. Not Chuck Norris. He is carrying a Smith
& Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum (not shown above).
My kind of guy.

Fun to watch: The very handsome Lloyd Haynes aka Pete
Dixon of  "Room 222" fame. I rate this movie 8 out of 10
"Thurston Howell III"s.

I got bit!
Bit by the Zippo Bug again.
This time just a plain ol' brushed chrome version.
The marking on the bottom indicates that it was
made in 2013. I paid a dollar or two too much for it
as I bought it at the smoke shop when I went in to
restock on Zippo light fluid. Smoke shops are never less
expensive than saaaay... Walmart for example. Right?

Anyway, I can't say much more about it other than it
works good because.... it's a ZIPPO.

Sunset at El Rancho De La Tex. Or actually, cactus and a weed
at blurry sunset at El Rancho De La Tex. My mom took this picture.

"John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum".

This movie will be showing at
Borden Cinema tonight!
