Today marks 3 years since I purchased and have been carrying

my Classic Brushed Chrome Armor Zippo lighter so I thought

I would just go ahead and show an End of Year Pocket Dump.

This is everything that I carry in my pockets on a day to day basis

when the clothes I am wearing allow for it, which is always when I am

at home or out and about and about half of this stuff when I am at work.

BLACK X-MAS is somewhat of a Christmas Eve or

thereabouts tradition for me. And that is what I will be

doing tonight at Borden Cinema. I love this movie.

For the holidays (I'm guessin') Boot Barn sent

me a $15 off of $15 or more coupon so I went over

to look around and ended up picking up another

bolo tie. I like it enough. It is Cody James, but

whatever. I cannot afford the one I REALLY want
from over at the Indian Store.

But hey, it was just about free.

Happy Friday the 13th, December 2024!

And in true Friday the 13th form, last night while

I was watching "Alien: Romulus" (8/10), a molar on

the bottom right side of my mouth started to let me

know that it was not having it.... and in a BIG way.

Today, in a semi-emergency dental trip it was extracted.

I am hurting tonight. This too shall pass.

Been waitin' for it. Alien: Romulus. I am generally

trying to watch holiday themed or lighter fare
movies this month, but tonight will be an exception.

I didn't even know this movie was out on Blu-ray.
It was a surprise to see it on the shelves during my
weekly shopping trip. I've stayed away from
EVERYTHING about this movie.
I know zero about it.

Mmmmmm.... A late night after work after
 dinner chocolate treat from a friend at work.

ground somewhere. I took him home and gave
him a warm place to live in my curio cabinet.
I can't tell if he is happy or not.

I think he is part of a
Jurassic Park collection.

I bought this cute little cactus to put on the cowboy shelf

in my curio cabinet. It is a lip balm (which I am not
going to use). It is just 2 inches tall. I thought it was
filled with candy until I got home and
looked at the receipt.

Today is Knife Day at El Rancho De La Tex!

First up is yet another gas station knife I received

from the National Rifle Association. I have actually

acquired two of these this year. One for renewing my

membership, and one for RE-renewing my membership.

I have four or five of these same exact knives now.

And here is a knife that I bought on October 22nd and
have been carrying since then. This is NOT a gas station

knife. This is a Civivi brand knife. This model is named

the Yonder. It was designed by a cool
feller name of  Zac Whitmore.

Here is the back of the knife showing the pocket clip.

This knife rides real low in the pocket. You have the option

of putting the clip on the opposite side making the
Yonder completely ambidextrous.

The Yonder features a 2.88 inch 14C28N stainless steel blade.

Look at that great shape. It looks stonewashed to me. It has

a crossbar lock (that I love) and the action is SMOOOOTH.
The handle is made of G10. It comes very sharp and slicy.

In the closed position the knife 3.74 inches. Overall length when

open is 6.62 inches and it weighs 2.73 ounces (when opened OR

closed. Heh heh.) The Yonder won the "Best Buy of the
Year" award at Blade Show 2024.

Here are some goodies that come with the Yonder.
The nice little zippered case it comes in, some stickers
and all the normal paperwork.

I am not a huge pocket clip knife kind of person. I have
a few pretty doggone nice knives that feature pocket
clips and I never carry them in my pocket. I just clip
them to the inside of my purse or bag leaving my pockets
 free for a Swiss Army Knife or a Buck slip joint. But I am
going to give this one a try (when I have pockets).

So far I am liking the Yonder quite a bit.
