Civil War on Blu-ray. I've been wanting

to see this movie and now, I reckon I will.

Many years ago I found this picture on the internet, printed it

out and put it on my file cabinet. Why? Because this is where

where I sat with my family during my son's 16th birthday trip

to Disneyland and it holds a special memory.

I didn't have a camera back then, so I was happy to have this.

!!! GHOST PEPPER UPDATE !!!

Well, I keep trying but this poor little plant...

It looks like there will be no pepper again this year.

It starts out looking so strong and happy but just

ends up sad and wilted and dropping leaves.
But we aren't giving up.

When your belt wears out but the stars are

still cool, ya gotta keep them, right?

I mean, just in case?

We spent most of our time today in the emergency room

of our local hospital. Everything is fine now but it was

pretty stressful. On the way home, thankful that all was okay,

we stopped at Panda Express for some dinner to take home

(a treat as of late).

After picking up dinner, driving down the road my son spotted

a SpaceX ship in the sky. WO! We quickly pulled over and jumped

out of the car. My son pulled out his phone and started recording.

I have always wanted to see a ship launch and I feel that this was a

gift. After the kind of scary day we had I felt that this was a message

of hope and that everything is going to be okay.

It was beautiful.

Memorial Day, 2024.

As I have written at least once before, years ago my mom

started me on the road to saving lucky pennies, pennies that

I find on the sidewalk or the road, wherever. I found this one

yesterday. But after trying with much difficulty to pick it up,

I discovered that it was stuck to the ground, with gum.

It was a cruel trick!

I'm probably the star of some YouTube video now.

Here is another one that I have been waiting

for: DUNE 2. It was pretty expensive but it

was one of the few movies that I told myself

I would buy no matter (kind of) the cost.

I loved Part 1 and they say this one is better.
I reckon I will find out.

After a couple of weeks Walmart FINALLY had a

copy of "The Beekeeper" starring Jason Statham.

This has been on my Wish List for a pretty long

time. I cannot wait to see it. And in the next day

or two I will, only at... BORDEN CINEMA!

This display is a presentation of the Gene Autry Museum of Western

Heritage at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. This recording

is from my August 2012 visit. I had posted a version of this video back on

Thursday, February 10th of 2022, but I tried to lighten it up a bit and

boosted the audio a little with this one.

The assignment for today was to take a picture

of anything and post it. So here is my lunch at work.

I transplanted my Birthday Cactus from January 2023

(the one on the right) to a new home in a larger pot.

Now, as usual, the waiting game. Did I shock it to
death? I always worry about that.

Almost a month ago (Monday, April 8)
I posted this picture of some rocks with
freshly done graffiti all over them.

But today? Somebody cleaned them up. I don't know
who and I don't know how but it helped to make
my day just a little brighter.

I bought this Seed of Chucky stretchable toy/figure

a really long time ago, probably at a Spirit Store.

Because of the material he is made of I expected

him to deteriorate a long time ago, but so far so good.

I don't stretch him very often.

Unfortunately in this picture he is in my cabinet behind

some glass that really needs some Windex. (That circle
in front of his stomach is from a little suction cup that
was on the glass.)

Nature is Fun.

I like what you've done with the place!

As I sit here at 5:30 AM preparing to get ready for work,

this picture is making my mouth water. This is not too

bad for a SALSA, that is MEDIUM heat.

It seems that for the last two years
every place I go I run into one of these.
Well...... not EVERY place, but you know 
what I mean. A ton of places.

I bought another patch for my door.

Umbrella Corporation. The bottom one.
These things are getting kind of pricey.
They've gone up two dollars each
since I started collecting them.

Little cupcakes from Walmart.

My much loved brother-in-law and his also much loved wife
 paid a visit to us recently and he brought something along
for me. The 6-cell D Maglite pictured here is one that I bought

at.... yep, a big gun show probably 38 years ago. But I had

kind of left it by the wayside about 20 years ago as there

were better lights out there by then, LED lights.

Well, my B-I-L brought along an LED upgrade kit for this light

and it has breathed new life into it. It is kind of a monster now.

It is back in the rotation!

I had also at the show bought a Pachmayr "Sure Grip" for
the light. It allows for a better grip and the metal of
the light is not quite so rough on the
hands during cold weather.

This light could also serve double-duty
as a coyote-knocker-outer in
an emergency.

My brother-in-law also brought me a brand NEW flashlight.

A Mini Maglite LED 2AA flashlight. I'm tellin' ya, Maglite

has pretty much stepped up their game with Mini Mags.
With two different power settings,
this little thing is a beast.

This was my very first Maglite, a Mini Mag 2AA Xenon

flashlight. I carried this light for many many years. The

output does not hold a candle to the new LED
lights. But at the time it did not bother me
at all (didn't know any better) and I was
real happy to have it.

It was so great to spend time with my brother-in-law
and his wife. We hope to do it again soon. And
I ate a'WAY too much.
