The last day of 2025 looked pretty dreary as I went out

early this morning to take care of my weekly shopping.
I am not huge on dreary.

But hey!  I found the movie Richie Rich in the $5.00 bin at

Walmart. That cheered me right up. This is a fun movie.

The dude has a McDonald's in his house and a

roller coaster in his backyard.

I will be celebrating the coming of the New Year quietly at
The Ranch tonight. I hope YOU have a wonderful evening,

On Thursday, December 30, 2021 I wrote that I had bought

this brand new Zippo Armor® Brushed Chrome Windproof

Lighter as a practice run for my 2022 Birthday Extravaganza.

Well, here it is 2025 and I have now been carrying this lighter

for 4 years. I think for me, that is a record. Anyway, I just wanted

to post this for fun and to show how the lighter is aging.

I think it is maturing nicely so far and

I still really enjoy carrying this lighter.

- ATTENTION IMPERIAL SUBJECTS -

This sign hangs on the wall by the door that

we use to exit our garage. It serves as a good reminder.
The last thing we need is to be caught unprepared
for a potential stormtrooper fireteam encounter.

Tis the day after Christmas, and on
one part of The Ranch, this cactus let
loose another broken piece.
It rolled down and...

...pretty much landed here. It is too cold and windy

today, but first chance I get I am going to put

this guy in a pot like I did the other one. This is

a great piece of cactus. I can't wait to get it into dirt.

This Christmas season I have watched The Santa Clause

1 & 2 and tonight will be my final Christmas movie

viewing with The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

I've never seen it. Martin Short is in it and I love that guy.

And I get to start my Annual Birthday Extravaganza
for 2025 in less than a week. Looking forward to
doing a few things and going to a few places
that I only do and go to once a year.

I hung my "spur"

on the wall.

Back on October 3rd of this year, I posted this photo

of a cactus that had broken off from a larger plant and

that I transplanted into this pot, along with a skull

I bought at Walmart.

Well, I could not resist. I took yet another cactus piece that

had broken off and added it to the pot. I was originally

going to cut it shorter but it ended up as tall as the first

one (on the right). I think shorter would have been better
but, we will just have to see how they get along.

I ran across this in the ranch

house a while ago. It is a smokers

candle. Light it while you smoke

(tobacco) and bam! No more offensive

(to some) odor.

This product was sold by Stetson. And when

the candle was out of wax? You are able to

use it as an ashtray and that's mighty fine.

In an effort to self-improve, yes I have been spending

quite a bit of time at the dentist. Last month I posted a

Halloween photo of a pumpkin patch of sorts in the

courtyard of my dentist's office location. This month

I am showing their beautiful annual Christmas tree.

Just one more visit (fingers crossed) for this series
of treatments, and then? We will start a new
project at the end of January.

It is all good.

Those pesky spiders just LOVE to live

behind the side-view mirrors on our car.

And now? They are starting to love it INSIDE

as well. They are pushing their luck.

It the first glorious day of November and what better time

than today for a picture of a moose. A moose that "ejects"

jelly beans when you lift his tail. I think he is very cute

in spite of that rather unsavory detail.

When the sun goes down, we at The Ranch we will
be feasting on hot dogs, beans and whatever else suits our
fancies. Shortly thereafter we will light the jack-o'-lantern
candle, dim the lights and gather 'round the screen for a

showing of SAW X. We've been saving this one for

just the right time and tonight is it.

Whatever it is that YOU ghouls and ghoulettes have
planned, scare the wits out of each other safely
and have fun my friends!

Not sure which. But he is cute.

And you gotta collect 'em all. But

I would do it on Saturday when I bet

they will be 50 percent or more off.

I am partial to Jason Duck of course.

This SPOOKTOBER at The Ranch has been a pretty

mellow one. I mean... plushies? So MANY plushies?

Let's ever so slightly attempt to balance things out
a bit and recover at least a little of my reputation.

in 2007 that makes an appearance just about

every Halloween, although he didn't come

out this year. I unfortunately didn't
decorate the house for 2025.

I bought WEAPONS on Blu-ray. They say this movie is

pretty fun. Gonna save this one for Halloween Eve or

Halloween Night. Not long to go now.

I went to the dentist to have sutures removed after

having had a few teeth pulled and I was greeted by a
semi-great pumpkin patch. Halloween is going kind of

soft/retro at The Ranch this year. Just kind of happening.

I gotta get some bloody slasher
action in here someplace.

Awww... It's little Wednesday's doll.

SPOOKTOBER Off-Topic Approved Post!

Yes, it is still SPOOKTOBER, but I really want to

post some pictures of this new tool I bought. These

are the Knipex Cobra XS Water Pump Pliers. This

guy is only 4" long with up to a 1" grip capacity! I can
carry this in the bottom of my bag or purse AND they
will fit perfectly in the 5th pocket of my Wranglers.

I bought these pliers to compliment my Victorinox Fieldmaster
(that I have been carrying for 4 years) Swiss Army Knife.  Not
much more I can say about this guy other than he is SUPER
 strong and SUPER grippy. He is gonna come in SUPER handy.
Did I mention that he is ONLY 4" LONG?!

 I have a pair of the Knipex 5" pliers that I bought
in September of 2023 and they
are fantastic as well.

today. Pete Davidson seems kind of like a regular guy.

And this movie looks kind of scary. I will find
out tonight when it plays at Borden Cinema.

Spooktober Movie Nights continue!

And one day this month, if all my dental stuff heals
I will be having my second Annual Spooktober Movie
and Pizza Night. Man, I am looking forward to that. I was
going to have it on the 23rd, but I have a dental appointment
around then and my mouth might not be up to it.
But it WILL happen... eventually.

I wonder how many folks want

to be Popeye for Halloween.
