The big day be nigh upon us!

Today we are taking a look at the animatronic representing

our pal Jason Voorhees. Too much Jason is not a thing.

And to round things off,
some bloody skulls.

This is what I really wanted to buy at Spirit Halloween

for 2026. Not a perfect Jason Voorhees hockey mask,

but not as terrible as some. And they were selling them...

...separate from the machete at some stores, but not the

stores we went to. I didn't like the mask enough to buy

it along with the machete so... I passed.

They STILL sell this mask.
But as I have said (yes, again) in the past,
they streaked this thing to make it look like it
is made of wood. We at The Ranch don't
understand this.

And then there are the Jason pancake
hockey masks. I bought one on my
first Official Halloween Crawl back
in 2007. It's all they had.

I have shown this before. He still lives

in my closet just because.

Let us finish today's post with what I think
is a most excellent ghoul over at
Halloween Express.

This ghoul looks a tad mischievous.
Evil doins are afoot.

Last night was Spooktober Pizza and a

Movie Night at Borden Cinema. Two feature

films enjoyed along with PIZZA!

The first movie showing was The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)

starring Boris Karloff. This movie has great atmosphere and is

a lot of fun. Everybody knows this movie. I rate this movie

10 out of 10 Cigars.

Intermission came and it was time to prepare the
snacks to enjoy during the Main Feature.

The Main Feature for the evening was The Creeping Terror (1964).

Oh my gosh... Have you seen this movie? It is pretty bad. And

just barely in a so bad it's good way. BARELY. The above picture
shows the Creeping Terror onscreen. It was difficult to get a good
shot of it because the picture quality was not great, and the dang
thing wouldn't hold still very long. But there is his head(?).

And the Creeping Terror moves at the speed of snails but

manages to kill EVERYBODY except for one person who runs

and another that drives away. All of the other victims (and there

are many) just stand or sit there (while screaming) and wait to be
sucked up. It's a laugh riot.

And the stars of the film are lovebirds of course. Always with

the lovebirds in these movies. I think they are going to suck

each other's faces completely off. I rate The Creeping Terror

3 out of 10 Twist Dancers.

Overall I had a great time with these movies
(and the PIZZA!) and I cannot wait for the
next Pizza and a Movie Night!

Awww... Nice earrings, buddy.

This is not needed. I think that even Michael
and Ghostface would be like, "This is stupid.

This is lowbrow. We don't do this."

And tonight at Bordon Cinema, All Horror

All Month continues with Candyman starring
the legendary Tony Todd and Virginia Madsen who
is also great in this movie. I rate Candyman
9 out of 10 Honeybees.

And then there are the body parts...

...which as I say every year, they don't seem
to put much effort into...



...but as I also say every year, in low light they
probably look pretty okay. I like the ring on the
finger in the first picture. Nice touch.

And then there is THIS guy...

...who you cannot seem to get away from. How in the
heck did he get to be so, so... popu.... never mind.

!!! FRIDAY SPOOKTOBER BONUS !!!

This is my second and last SPOOKTOBER souvenir

for the year 2026. A Ghostface Graphic Knife from
the movie SCREAM of course. It looks great sitting
next to my SCREAM movie collection.

Every year I look forward to the knives and swords
at Halloween Express. And look! There is a disembodied

hand offering me a pitchfork to poke my son with!
How fun! But this is not my first Halloween Express
rodeo and I know what is coming...

...Every dang year. Say good-bye to the pitchfork, Tex.
See ya Mr. Pitchfork. *sigh*



That was no fun. But THIS is! Look what I found
at Walmart! Tons o' popcorn! UTZ'S Popcorn.
One Pound twelve ounces of popcorn! They NEVER
have this stuff. I'm getting some. Spooktober Movie
Nights at Borden Cinema just became even better.

Wow. I know I say it every year, but

Witch Day goes by too dang fast!

I can't wait 'til next year.

Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees (my all-time favorite) was

once again terribly underrepresented at Spirit this year. They

did have this new wall decor, which unfortunately was just like

last year's Ghostface wall decor, much too easily damaged.
Pass.



But for the last few years they have had this excellent Camp

Crystal Lake sign. I am surprised that they are still offering

this and one day when it is no longer available I will kick myself

for not buying it. But I just have zero room for it. Ack.

Here is one of my two Annual Halloween Crawl Souvenirs

for 2026. I have passed up buying this Camp Crystal Lake

mug quite a few times. But this year, I finally bought it, and

I actually really enjoy seeing it sitting on my dresser every day!

I did have something else Jason related in mind  that I wanted,
 but they didn’t have it at either of the two stores we
visited (as usual). More on that to come.

the Year at Spirit. He is tall and imposing.

He looks good. I like his knife movement.
