You betchya.

I bought "The Mechanic" from the five dollar bin at Walmart.
I only just discovered Jason Statham a few months ago and
I really, really like him. He is badassery. He is the male Michelle
Rodriguez, or Michelle Rodriguez is the female Jason Statham,
or something. The other motivating factor for this purchase is the
co-star Ben Foster.  Anybody who knows "3:10 to Yuma's" Charlie
Prince can tell you that Ben is also.... a badass. I did watch this
movie and it is pretty darn good.

The ending fooled me. I rate it 6.5 out of 10 ampules of Rohypnol.

And I found "Frank and Jesse" in the three seventy four bin. Rob
Lowe plays Jesse James and the recently passed and beloved Bill Paxton
plays brother Frank. If I remember right, this was a made for HBO movie
that I saw many years ago and a few times since then and is not the best in
the world, but it's a Western, and not that bad, and after all, it's a Western.

One of my all time favorite singers, Randy Travis plays Cole Younger in the
movie. He's good. After the gang has robbed a train, Cole, wanting his bit of
notoriety and not to be outdone by Jesse, tells the train's passengers, "...and
Cole Younger, you tell 'em you was robbed by Cole Younger too!"
He says that real good. I like it.

I actually already have this movie, but it is used and I wanted a new copy.

~ Happy St. Patrick's Day 2017 ~

Sunday, March 12, 2017

This is a one dollar token I saved from my limited
gambling experience at the Gold Strike Inn outside
of Las Vegas.

I saved it for two reasons. One: It was all about
the West, sort of. Two: It was a souvenir of my
honeymoon. This was many more years ago than I
really want to think about.

I don't have the marriage anymore,
but I still have the cool token. So it is all good.

It's been kind of slow around here lately, but...

"I'll be back."

Actually, I never left. It has just been kind of
slow around here lately.

Professional Bull Riders bull figures
"Hammer" and "Nightlife" by Breyer.

Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Above onscreen at Borden Cinema is Michael Sheen as Arthur
the bartender on the Starship Avalon. This is the movie "Passengers".
Man, I found this movie to be better the second time around. It made
me cry, but only a little, so I did not get a headache, which is good.

 Chris Pratt. See it.

That's all I got.

Monday, March 6, 2017

I bought "Passengers" on Blu-ray. This is a movie that I saw during
my Birthday Week Extravaganza in January. I had written that it was
"nothing to write home about" but that I did enjoy it and I would buy
it when it came out and here she is. This is the version with the Target
Exclusive Bonus Disc. I really can't wait to see it again and I only
hope that my older non-supported Blu-ray player will play it.

If not, it will be waiting in the wings for a new player like one or
two other movies that I have. It's all good (for the most part).

I have had this a looong time. My son gave it to me many years
ago. It is the Castle Freak from the movie of the same name. Made
by Full Moon Toys Legends of Horror, this guy comes with some
great accessories. One of the greatest of them is a half-eaten
house cat. This company is no longer in business and this figure
can be kind of expensive.

The movie was just so-so if I remember right. I have had the
movie on DVD for a long time, just have not watched it yet.

Free gas is pretty good. I guess I will go and get some.

I used the MSR fry pan I recently purchased off of
Amazon.com. I know this is kind of a repeat post as
we have seen pictures of potatoes cooking out here
before, but I just wanted to have a picture of my new
fry pan cooking up them delicious critters.

Yes, we have seen this before too. But I love looking at my
ever trusty Becker BK24 that assists me almost daily. I would
say that you owe it to yourselves to buy a BK24 and that you
would not be sorry, but I think they have been discontinued.

However there is still the Becker BK14 which is made of
1095 Cro-Van steel as opposed to the BK 24's D2 Steel. I have
both and I have no complaints. (That is an older photo from 2015.)

That cowboy on the roof is about to get shot. His blood goes
flying all over that window behind him and by now everybody
knows that the blood was spit from his mouth. Great effect.

Sunday, February 26, 2017

I have a "Wish List" on Amazon.com with a HUGE
amount of stuff that I would like to have. But I keep at the top
of the list five items that I really want. One of these is an MSR
fry pan. I have checked the price on the fry pan once or twice
daily for THREE YEARS.

The price has fluctuated  from between nineteen dollars to about
twenty-eight dollars. I just did not want to pay that much.

Then....
The other day, BAM! THIRTEEN dollars! Yes! Click! Mine!
I cannot wait to try it. It is an outdoor thing. It feels good.

The handle comes off for storage. Thirteen dollars. Man. Just have
to keep looking and sometimes things go your way. Right?

Saturday, February 25, 2017

About three months ago I finally decided that it was time to see
"12 Years a Slave". Perfect timing as it suddenly disappeared
from the shelves... everywhere. But today a copy appeared in
the five dollar bin at Walmart. Huzzah!
Watching this one very soon.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later that night...
I viewed the movie. It was a difficult watch. The cruelty and inhumanity
is as bad as you would imagine. Chiwetel Ejiofor as Solomon Northup
got the job done in a great way. Worth more than five dollars.
7.5/10

I found yet another Little Caesars pizza.
How many of these things ARE there?

Thursday, February 23, 2017

One of my favorite stores has had a rough couple
of years and is closing it's doors for good.

Wednesday, February 22, 2017

At times I can be resourceful.
I repaired it the next day.

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

I bought "Arrival" on Blu-ray. I saw this in the theater and
I really want to see it again. I have heard a few folks call
this a Sci-Fi Chick Flick, which is weird. Unfortunately
my Blu-ray machine is having difficulty playing this
Blu-ray and it looks like I won't be seeing it until
I get a new player. Oh well.

"Manchester by the Sea". This was a good one. As I wrote
here after seeing it in the theater, I thought I didn't care about
any of the characters even halfway through the movie. But
when "stuff" started happening to them, I realized I was wrong.
I did care. Good movie and I do really want to see this soon.
Hopefully Borden Cinema will be able to play this one,
unlike "Arrival."

Casey Affleck is fantastic. He talks real good.

KONG
I have a bad feeling about this.

Wednesday, February 15, 2017

Litter makes me mad enough, but when I see a grown woman
in the passenger seat of a car that is pulling out of a parking place
open her door just enough to drop this onto the ground and then
close her door again as the car drives away...
Oh man.... I know, it doesn't seem like much...

...But if EVERY person was as lazy,
selfish and self-special as she is...

Tuesday, February 14, 2017

I found another Little Caesars Pizza.
This is intense.

Monday, February 13, 2017

And dang-nabbit, they are closed.
I wonder if there are some carny folks in that camper playing
poker and chewing on cigars and drinking whiskey and cussing.

Happiness is when Hasbro finally releases a Black Series C3PO
figure that is a perfect match for the Black Series R2D2 that
you have. REAL happiness is when you actually FIND
one of them as they are really popular and ALWAYS sold out.

Irony is when on the same day that you finally find a
Black Series Threepio, two hours later you also find
an outstanding Elite Series Die Cast C3PO at
the Disney Store.

Life is freaky and good.

Saturday, February 11, 2017

With Disney's live-action "Beauty and the Beast" movie
set to hit theaters soon, the Disney Store has it's figures
set up in a beautiful display.

Belle is my favorite Disney Princess.
Look at her beautiful dress.

And what is this? Gaston actually has a firearm?
Hooray for Disney!

I really want to see this movie when it comes out.

Friday, February 10, 2017

It's okay... Come on out little feller.

Thursday, February 9, 2017

Another DVD day.
I bought "Knock Knock" with Keanu Reeves because I read
on some message boards I go to that it is a good one. I
was waiting for the price to come down. It did.

"10 Cloverfield Lane". What do I say, what DO I say? As a HUGE
fan of the original Cloverfield movie, I hated 10. HATED it.
It is a slap in the face to Clovie fans who waited EIGHT YEARS
for a sequel. I was never going to buy this movie. However (I say with my
tail between my legs), I am somewhat of a "completest", and this movie
is so bad that the price came WAY down, so I bought it to park next
to my "Cloverfield" movies.

This movie has a very very very small chance of redeeming itself a
very very very little bit if a Part Three came out and continued on
where this one left off. It just miiigggghhhht squeakily get by if it
manages to show where it ties in to the original movie.
MIGHT.
Some folks say it DOES tie in. They are reaching. WAY reaching.
From what they show, it does not tie in. It may be similar, but similar
is all it is. Do I sound bitter? I am.

One other thing: John Goodman. I LOVE JG. But I have seen him
in too many other things and just the sight of him kept taking me
out of this movie. Somebody slightly unknown would have been
better in his role. But that is just my thing.

Once again I say...  Life, so hard.

I want more Clovie and many others do too.

Later on that night....

I guess it is no big surprise that they could not be
bothered to put any graphics on the DVD itself.

Wednesday, February 8, 2017

I found a new Little Caesars Pizza.
I am going to find them all. Serious.
Just kidding.

Tuesday, February 7, 2017

I bought "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" and "John Wick".
Jack Reacher gets dumped on but I like it. Surrounded
by six guys who are big and tough, Jack asks them if they
"really want to do this" and they just start attacking him.
Forty five seconds later they are all on the ground and
Jack is walking away no worse for wear. Stuff like that.
I like.

John Wick... Man, this movie opens dark. Really dark.
But John is another badass and it goes from there. I liked
this one too. I want to see the sequel.

Both to me are totally worth checking out, if you like
badass guys and action.

I love you, we all do. Save us a good spot.
We will be together again someday.
Rest well.
