I spent some time outside today and cooked up

some chili. Hot weather, hot chili.

It was nice just relaxing and watching the birds

munching away (birds munch, right?) at our feeder.

Sticking with the theme of "stuff my son gave to me", here is

the inside of a rock my son gave to me. It is one of those kind that

is cut in half so you can see what is inside. This is what is inside.

My brother-in-law (actually my ex-brother-in-law but still a close

family member) was telling me about "Taken" recently and he made

it sound good. So when I found "Taken 1 & 2" on two DVD disks

for under $10, I grabbed it. Can't wait to see it.

Here is a random photo for the day. This is a GIANT

eraser that my son gave to me. To my credit you can

see that it remains unused. This is because I am perfcet.

Unfortunately by the time I was able to take a

picture of this rose it had started to wilt and brown.

But it sure was a beautiful pink rose.

I can tell that this photo of some steps (not the same

steps I've posted before) on our property is old because

that satellite dish is looooooooooooong gone. I'm pretty

sure I took this picture with my old Sony "Eight Hundred

Freakin' Dollar" Mavica camera.

This is an experiment. I wanted a comfortable

chair to sit on when I am outside just enjoying

the sights, or a movie on my iPod after darkness

falls, or just sitting out there cooking up some chili

or hot chocolate and listening to the crickets.

I bought this one. It was only $9.99 over at Walmart.

It is not the best one, but I will use it a while and if

I like the style, I may pick up a better one. So far,

this thing is nice. So with my chair, my lantern, the

night air, some coyote music (and my pistol because

you just never know), life can be pretty danged nice.

My son received another Loot Crate and June's

theme was "Cyber". There were a few great things

in there and one of them he gave to me. This is a

brain chip (keychain) from a T-1000 Terminator.

The new movie "Terminator Genisys" opens on

July 1st and I can't wait to see it.

The United States of America is

the finest country in the world.

Today is a random picture I took on

my way home from running errands.

Marion "Cobra" Cobretti is onscreen wielding his

Jatimatic Finnish 9mm submachine gun in an effort

to kill all the bad guys. Does he do it? Let's just say

that criminals are the disease... and "Cobra" is

the cure. This 80's GOLD also features a 22 year old

Brigitte Nielsen. "Cobra" is tons o' fun.

Hello Sorcerer Mickey Mouse (that I bought at the
Disney Store) who is in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice"
segment of the animated 1940 film "Fantasia".

Hello Timothy Q. Mouse (that I bought at the

Disney Store) who is Dumbo's best friend

and mentor from Walt Disney's 1941 feature

film "Dumbo".

A couple of years ago on a visit to Julian, California, I

bought this Sheriff's Office sign. I paid a tourist's price

for it, but I like it and I have it hanging over my bedroom

door.

Apparently Pat Garrett hangs out in my bedroom. Or I sleep

in his office. One of the two. Pat is well known for dispatching

William H. Bonney.

I decided to watch "What Dreams May Come". HOLY COW.

This movie is one big excuse to make you cry once every ten

freakin' minutes. I just don't need that. I could take no more and

turned it off after forty minutes and called this movie night

a total loss. I just don't need to sit there and watch, well,

I won't spoil it just in case you ever want to watch it.

Love Robin Williams, hate huge cry fests. I need a

"3:10 to Yuma" injection or something.

That's a stiff horse tail.

Even on the most beautiful of days, you

have to be this tall to ride McDonald.

 

It's just like they say... If you're not there to

hear it, you really can't know. It's kind of creepy.

I bought the Moulin Rouge (2001) soundtrack. The first time

I ever saw this movie was at a friend's house back when this

movie came out and it was the first time I ever saw a dvd movie.

My friend had a big screen (for that time) TV and had the player

going through a pretty large stereo system. To me it was close

to being in a movie theater.

Anyway, Ewan McGregor as Christian. I fell in love. He is.......

........ dreamy. And so gosh darn.... dreamy. When he sings

"Come What May", my heart goes pitter patt. Don't know what

else to say other then I am real happy to have "Come What May"

on my iPod now.
