Think you have enough pots there, Butch?
(I just love that line. That is of course, why you have seen
it a hundred times. Thanks for indulging me, if you have.)

Happy Birthday, Dad.

I think she is praying for
slightly cooler weather.

Bougainvillea always says to me, "In Old California".

Happy Labor Day!

Sunday, September 6, 2015

Just a couple of pictures I took while out and about
on El Rancho De La Tex. This is looking up from a
lower portion of El Rancho.

And wood which will eventually end up in the fireplace.

I call this the "For a Few Dollars More" plant.
"This train'll stop at Tucumcari..."

Around here, blue pipes mean recycled water. I
have no idea what red pipes mean.

These flowers over at Walmart say our beloved
Halloween Season cannot be far away!

I caught about 2 or 3 hours of Texas Rising when it was
on television and it looked good. It stars Bill "Tombstone"
Paxton and that alone adds bonus points. The value was
good for seven and a half hours of the Lone Star State in
glorious 5.1 widescreen blu-ray.

I'm glad this is better than it looks. Budget-minded
folks know where I am coming from. At one time or
another I think that most of us have been there.

Tuesday, September 1, 2015

I've been waiting for it. I've heard it looks and sounds GREAT on Blu-ray.
"Mad Max Fury Road". I saw it in the theater and I can't wait to see it a
second (and probably a third) time.

I bought my copy at Target and they offer two  exclusive comic books
with the purchase. Of course if you start turning pages you will destroy
the spine, so I have resisted the (low level) temptation to peak inside.
This comic will go right into a sealed bag. That's how I roll.

"Oh, what a day... what a lovely day!"
Everybody has been saying that this week.

I'm sensing... some sort of tension.

Tarzan and Jane. Tarzan's Treehouse. Disneyland,
California. My son took this picture.

I blind bought this Ana Gabriel CD. The cover indicated
that I would like this. She is wearing a sombrero, she has
the look and as far as I am concerned she is probably wearing
a Colt firearm on her side and that usually means I will like
the music.

Alas, that is not to be the case here. It is not my kind of music.
It's too soft and not the Mariachi sound I enjoy. It also means that
she is not wearing a pistol. But hey, she still looks cool.

Thursday, August 20, 2015

I finally got a better picture of the drought
resistant plant I see on occasion.

Wednesday, August 19, 2015

I bought the movie "Savages" over at Walmart.
When I saw the previews in the theater it looked kind
of action packed and fun (just not "theater ticket price
fun"). Good cast with John Travolta and Benicio Del Toro
and at $4.44, I figured I'm a' gonna watch it.

I spotted this buffalo up on a hill. I know you have heard the saying
"Don't let the grass grow under your feet." I don't think that he has.

Monday, August 17, 2015

I had never had a hard drive crash before. Up here in the mountains
power failures and surges can be brutal. Anyway, I am on my way to
recovery and I will start the ball rolling again with a picture of a recently
deceased scorpion on the old garage floor. I'm back!

Sunday, August 16, 2015

I've had a slight setback, friends. I had the dreaded
hard drive crash. But I am coming back soon. I'm
just loading things and in a couple of days, BAM!

I'll be back.

Saturday, August 15, 2015

We are getting excited here at the Ranch. The Annual
Halloween Store Crawl for 2015 is almost upon us.
It is time to save our pennies (gulp) and gather our
coupons. I've done the research and created
our Crawl Itinerary and now..... the wait.

The midnight showing of Lucio Fulci's "The Beyond"
at Borden Cinema. These two folks are in for the
surprise of their lives. They are about to go through....
through.... I can't write it. It's just too ghastly.

Lucio Fulci is an acquired taste.

ANY size?! Well then set me up with a small!!

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

I am just too suspicious of
stuff like this anymore.
