I bought this cute little cactus to put on the cowboy shelf

in my curio cabinet. It is a lip balm (which I am not
going to use). It is just 2 inches tall. I thought it was
filled with candy until I got home and
looked at the receipt.

Today is Knife Day at El Rancho De La Tex!

First up is yet another gas station knife I received

from the National Rifle Association. I have actually

acquired two of these this year. One for renewing my

membership, and one for RE-renewing my membership.

I have four or five of these same exact knives now.

And here is a knife that I bought on October 22nd and
have been carrying since then. This is NOT a gas station

knife. This is a Civivi brand knife. This model is named

the Yonder. It was designed by a cool
feller name of  Zac Whitmore.

Here is the back of the knife showing the pocket clip.

This knife rides real low in the pocket. You have the option

of putting the clip on the opposite side making the
Yonder completely ambidextrous.

The Yonder features a 2.88 inch 14C28N stainless steel blade.

Look at that great shape. It looks stonewashed to me. It has

a crossbar lock (that I love) and the action is SMOOOOTH.
The handle is made of G10. It comes very sharp and slicy.

In the closed position the knife 3.74 inches. Overall length when

open is 6.62 inches and it weighs 2.73 ounces (when opened OR

closed. Heh heh.) The Yonder won the "Best Buy of the
Year" award at Blade Show 2024.

Here are some goodies that come with the Yonder.
The nice little zippered case it comes in, some stickers
and all the normal paperwork.

I am not a huge pocket clip knife kind of person. I have
a few pretty doggone nice knives that feature pocket
clips and I never carry them in my pocket. I just clip
them to the inside of my purse or bag leaving my pockets
 free for a Swiss Army Knife or a Buck slip joint. But I am
going to give this one a try (when I have pockets).

So far I am liking the Yonder quite a bit.

Happy Halloween 2024!

Tonight at The Ranch we will be gathering around the

movie screen to eat hot dogs, beans and potato chips

while we watch Spirit Halloween: The Movie.

Gonna be a blast! Hope you all will be having
