Ah yes... Once again I add to my collection of skulls.
This guy is still fresh in the plastic. I try not to buy the same type more than
once. September/October is ripe for skull collecting.
Some are of course more realistic than others,
but all are lovable.

Today.
You gotta be careful around here. This little rattler was not
making any noise at all. And he is good at blending in.

We had no time to deal with him today, so my mom took
a long metal pole and just knocked him off of the deck to the dirt below.

I hope he left the area. As I posted once before, you are supposed to "dispatch"
these guys, You can't let them slither around to come back and bite somebody.
But I was not prepared to shoot him this morning and I totally dislike hacking them
to death and nobody else was doing anything at this point, so off he went...
...this time.

Kinda spooky.

Yes, it's the Halloween Superstore.
I'm in love.

And they are:
OPEN LATE    OPEN LATE    OPEN LATE

Friday, September 23, 2011

Years ago I never would have thought that one of the stars of Platoon, Red Dawn and Young Guns would have his own Halloween costume, as himself. And even if I would have thought about it, I wouldn't have thought it would come to be. So I guess that's why I never gave it any thought. But he totally now does.

Of course I am all about the Halloween.
And today I went to my first seasonal Halloween stores. I usually don't buy much. To me it's more about the atmosphere and the getting ready for the holiday. My first stop was the Spirit Halloween store where I added to my way too large collection of skulls. This guy is missing his lower jaw, and you know what? That's okay.

This is one of my boyfriends.
Well, actually it's just an action figure model of one of my boyfriends. Say hello
(again) to Jason Voorhees. He's nineteen inches of pure NECA© wonderfulness.
Nobody messes with me when we are out together,
and that's the way I love it.

P, is for Palomar College!

I am totally embarrassed that I wrote that and blogger.com
won't let me delete it.

Tonight I went to see the movie "Apollo 18" and all I got was this
Alvin and the Chipmunks poster (which is almost better than Apollo 18).

Chip Wrecked. Funny. But I like the name of the second
Chipmunk movie better: The Squeakquel. That's funny.
(And no, I haven't seen any Chipmunk movies.)

This is Fry's Electronics in San Marcos, California.
I want one (or more) of everything in this place.

I believe that every Fry's has a decor theme. I think
that this store is trying to say, "Atlantis".

I've been waiting for quite a while for this Blu-ray of Halloween II to be released and today was the day. I had mine reserved at Best Buy and here she is. This Blu-ray includes the documentary "Terror In The Aisles", another long awaited treat.

Tonight I'll be rocking Michael Myers in high def.
- DINK dink dink DINK dink dink DINK dink DINK dink -
(That's the Halloween theme song.)

This lamp was given to me by somebody who knows
what a Pirates of the Caribbean (and pirates in general)
fan girl I am.

In honor of the Great Southern California Blackout of 2011.
Thank goodness for great quality battery operated radios, glow sticks and lamps.
Caught up on my reading and all is well.

Awesome. Just awesome.
They have moisture vaporators at the recycling center. Just like on Tatooine!
I gotta TELL somebody about this.

Another in a series of photos from my visit to the Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Griffith Park, California. This photo shows Don "Red" Barry's gunbelt and Colt pistol in .45 caliber (not the rig pictured in the photograph of Mr. Barry). I don't know if the grips are really stag, and I have no idea who made the leather (that doesn't look like all that to me). I also don't know about "back in the day", but these days stag grips go for mucho grande dinero (as do Colt Single Action Army pistols).

I DO know that the pistol shore is purdy.

Yeah, not the most exciting pictures in the world, and the quality bites... But if you're like me, just looking at photos of a Regal Theater lobby will conjure up at least a moment or two of pleasant thoughts.

BIMBO must be an old family name or something.
I'm just sayin.
