Just one of those things that kind
of make me go, "Hmmmmm."

Sunday, February 28, 2016

My BFF Tom settled in to watch a movie
with me tonight at Borden Cinema.

Playing: Mad Max, the original. Released in 1979 Mel Gibson
was only twenty-one years old on his first outing as Maximillian "Max"
Rockatansky. He did a great job. I can see some Martin Riggs in there
with Max. I love Martin Riggs. And the Blu-ray is fantastic looking.
Tom and I love it.

The bottom of an old wooden post which is upside-down.

A restroom with no mirror usually indicates that you might
be in a rough town. It's worse when there is just a sheet of
scratched up metal that makes you feel like you are in a
circus fun house. At any rate, no mirror? Clutch your effects
a little tighter on your way out.

As an aside, I think black and white makes the other side
of  this restroom worth looking at. In color it is just trash.
In black and white it is artistic trash.

My son received another Loot Crate in the mail.
This is a little guy from "The Walking Dead". I don't
watch that show so I don't know who it is. But
he is a cool little guy.

I bought "The Boy" on DVD and watched it. This is an
Independent film and it is sa-low, with a capital slow.
I learned in the extras that it is hopefully (for the producers,
one of whom is Elijah Wood) that this is to be the first part
of a trilogy. If this is the case, I would like to see the second one.
I think it would make this one more interesting.

SPOILER ALERT! The location of this story is "the mountains
of the American West". That was half the reason I bought the movie.
I am all over the American West. But in the extras I learned that
this movie was filmed in Columbia S.A. That took away a little of the
spirit of the movie for me. I know, I know. Picky picky. Spaghetti westerns
were filmed in Spain and I am good with that. So.... Whatever.

And that is tons more than you needed or wanted to know, and more than
I was gonna write. Did I use "whom" correctly? I don't think so.

Oh, P.S. The boy is evil.

I will take "Ways to Discourage Your Mom
From Borrowing Your Car" for $500, Alex.

("I Heart Boobies!" is actually part of a breast
cancer awareness campaign.)

Some exclaimed, "How majestic you are!" Yes, after all
the lights and ornaments were carefully placed on the
tree in-between sips of hot cocoa and egg nog, everybody
shouted, "Beautiful!"

But hey, when it's over it's over. Am I right?

It's beginning to look a lot like Easter...

...all up...

...and down the aisles at Walmart.

I could not resist getting one of these egg cartons filled
with Easter rock and roll. These are my favorite things.

I took my five dollar coupon and headed
over to one of my favorite stores, Boot Barn.

Today I bought a pair of earrings. They look
look like the base of bullets. They even have
spent primers. I cannot figure why the 9mm
caliber though. Should be .45 Long Colt or
.44-40 or the like. 9mm... Go figure. Oh,
I have another five dollar coupon.

It was another fun day.

For those of you who are familiar with the saga of
the Totem Pole, here is an update: Totally destroyed.

The End.

Perhaps I will go out back and have
one of these blood oranges.

A supply tent along the way... Disneyland's
Indiana Jones Adventure queue.

My son took this picture.

50 people say it's great. 50 people say it is not good.
It finally came down in price so I will find out for myself.

--------------------------------------

Later that night....
I watched it. I give it about a 6/10. I can't suggest it because
I'm afraid you wouldn't like it. But I had fun with it.

A really beautiful day to go to Best Buy for a new iPod
after my old beloved iPod went south. Rest well old friend.

Time to go to work my new friend!

I would like to have this cabinet I
spotted over at the Indian Store.

If I were living in a retirement area,
my ideal sign would read:

RIFLE RANGE

AHEAD

Yeah.

Do you like ChapStick I like ChapStick.

Saturday, February 6, 2016

Well okay then. My Daniel Craig James Bond collection
is complete. I don't think he is going to star as Mr. Bond
again (unfortunately) so this is it. I can't wait to watch it.

I also bought some instant mashed potatoes.
What a beautiful day.

Friday, February 5, 2016

I came across this in one of my boxes of "stuff" the other day.
93 KHJ AM (BOSS CITY) out of Los Angeles was THEE radio
station I listened to when I was 14 and younger. That's Sam Riddle
the "Boss Jock" along with Bobby "Hey Little Woman" Sherman
on the cover there.

Sam Riddle was boss alright. I remember being at the Santa Monica
Ice Capades Chalet skating rink one Friday night when a Doors cover
band was playing. Sam Riddle introduced them and I got to meet him.
I'm sure Sam loved that gig. But it was boss for me.

This is a hits list from October 8, 1969. It was all happening in '69.

I left both of these big so that if you would like to open them in a new
tab or window, you can see what we were groovin' on that week.

And one more thing: Tina Delgado is alive! ALIVE!

Thursday, February 4, 2016

When I bought my new TV over at Fry's, this "Cowboys and
Indians" magazine was laying on one of the TV display tables.
The cover hooked me and I bought it.

Everything, and I mean everything about this cover just
screams, "YES!"

While out and around...

Tuesday, February 2, 2016

I bought "Mad Max" on Blu-ray. My Mad Max on
Blu-ray Trilogy is complete. I had intended on buying
the trilogy in a box set, but some time ago I had a brain
cramp and bought "Mad Max Road Warrior" on Blu-ray
and ruined that plan. So I bought the last two
over time and now I am done. Ta-daaaa!

Oh, I almost forgot. This Mad Max version came with
Anniversary Collectible Photo Cards. I think the reason
that I almost forgot was because I don't think they could
have come up with less exciting pictures if they had
tried. I mean c'mon! This is a Mad freaking Max movie.

I left the picture big so if you open it in a new window
or tab you can see what I am talking about.
