Holy cow! It is already Knife Day again here at
El Rancho De La Tex. Today we have a knife that
I bought I don't know where in the early 1990s.
This is a Cold Steel Mini Tanto boot knife.

This is a really nice little knife. I use to run three to
five miles a day and I had purchased this little guy to
keep in my shorts as a last ditch defensive tool against
dogs (or whatever). Fortunately I never had to use it
for that. I cannot remember what I paid for it or like
I wrote, where I bought it.

If you have ever had a Cold Steel blade, this is
an awesome sight to you. I believe this knife is long
since out of production and I cannot find any
information regarding blade material, etc.

I used to have the boxes for everything I ever
bought, but between divorce, moving and
life, I don't have many of them anymore.

It was worth going through this...

...to go through this.

I wanted to see these two movies, but not at the prices
they were charging. Today Walmart finally threw us a bone
and dropped the prices quite a bit. Now I get to see them.

I am not big into "creature features" but I  hear good things
about "Crawl". The "Child's Play" remake? Not so much.

I FINALLY found a Lodge scouring brush that was sold
separately and not in a "care kit" with pan scrapers, pot holder,
and seasoning spray. I don't want that other stuff. I have what
I need. And I will tell you what... This brush works G-R-E-A-T.

So happy to finally have it.
That's all I got.

It has been my birthday tradition for the last four years to
buy a cheap figure from the cheap figure bin at Comics-N-Stuff
to display in the back of my TV set. Not sure how this started, but
start it did. This year I bought the Queen Amidala figure. And
believe me, she was not expensive.

And this lack of likeness is I am sure WHY she was
not expensive. But I like her. She and the other figures
are totally just for fun.

The Millennium Falcon is still my favorite.

I was outdoors cooking up a little breakfast
this morning (including these hash browns) when...

...I was visited by a friend.

And a horsehair keychain, because.

If you go to this mall, you will not sit down for the duration
of your visit. There is no restaurant seating, no fast food seating,
no "just sit to take a short break" seating... There is NO seating.

If you are there for six hours, you will be standing for six hours,

UNLESS...

...you want to sit on these oversized pebbles. In the entire
mall, these are all there is.
Good luck!

~ VALHALLA ~
Yeah, I know... It's pretty much a boy's club.

I went to FYE to search for some movies.
My first time in a year.

Between Big Lots, FYE and a few thrift stores I found
quite a few good movies. Not pictured here is the complete
DVD collection of Indiana Jones movies plus a Bonus Materials
Disk all in a hard cover case. It is in pristine condition.
At Goodwill: $4.99. Hip hip!

I also had my first Little Caesar's pizza, my first pizza
period in almost a year. Twas good my friends.
Twas good.

My Birthday Week Extravaganza is cruising along.

I just went and took a picture of this.
I had to show it.

I bought a new hat for my birthday.

Yes, it is a Cody James hat. Not the top dog.
It's called Sedona. Made in the U.S.A. 100% wool.
"Exclusively available at Boot Barn."

I like the color.

Seeing as how it is the week of my Birthday Extravaganza
for 2021 I did something I never do: I went to town on a Saturday.
It paid off a little as I found some okay movies at two Big Lots
stores. I bought yet another copy of "The Good, the Bad and the
Ugly" on blu-ray because it has some extras that other copies do not
have. Five dollars for a CLASSIC on Blu-ray is pretty good.

And I found another season (five) of "The Gene Autry Television
Show". I love Gene Autry. Five dollars. Good enough deal.

And seeing how it is my "splurge week" I bought this
restaurant turner that I have been wanting for a year or two.
THIS... is exciting.

I still have a few days of extravaganza left.
