I never wanted him, not like this. And if you could be here, he would
be yours. Maybe it seems silly to you, where you are now, and none of
this is important anymore. But I will take the best care of him I can
until it comes time for him to move on. This is my promise to you.

My son sent this picture today. Yeah, we've driven past
this spot a lot of times. It's just on the way from here to there.

Going down the Conejo Grade heading into Ventura
from Thousand Oaks, California.
My son took this picture recently. Or is it, my son
recently took this picture? Hell, I do not know.

We had another rattlesnake in the driveway tonight.
This one would have been real easy to step on if
he was not making noise.

Not a great picture as it was dark out there.

Lizards...

New to my Jason Statham collection!
"Homefront". I know nothing about it other than...
Jason Statham... Lately that's been good enough.
Five Dollars. Walmart.

P.S. It also stars James Franco and that is good enough too.

I bought some syrup.

Regal looking up.

Saturday, April 22, 2017

I bought the "La La Land" Blu-ray. This movie has one of the most
beautiful covers I've ever seen. I have not seen the movie yet, but
I am anxious to. I mean, Ryan Gosling... c'mon. He's worth the
price of admission. This is the Target store version with a third
bonus disc. There were lots of them left when I was there.

This movie is worth having just for the 2017
Oscars Best Picture mix up alone. It's history.

Friday, April 21, 2017

Uh-oh.
In January I bought a Star Wars Elite Series Die Cast Imperial
Stormtrooper for fifteen dollars. In late February I bought a
Die Cast C-3P0 for fifteen dollars.

This week I found an Imperial Death Trooper and they are down
to ten dollars. They retail for twenty-six something, so great price.

It seems that R2D2 is not to be found. But I did find another little
astromech droid, C2-B5. Ten bucks. If you want them, Disney Store
has them. They have a lot of Rogue One figures. I am not really
interested in getting Jyn Erso or Cassian Andor or the like. And I
really didn't warm up to K-2SO like so many did, so I went with
more generic (I believe) type characters.

Oh, and these guys are HEAVY.

You see?
Cactus will not go down without a fight.

Wednesday, April 19, 2017

Oh, tiptoe from the garden, by the garden of the willow tree.
And tiptoe, to the movies, with me.

Got my popcorn!

Yep, Ghost in the Shell.

Visuals were great. I liked the scene that took place in the shallow water
in the middle of the city. I have not seen the anime(?) version of it and
won't, so I don't know how much this movie stayed true to that. I just
viewed it as an action movie with good fights, fun weapons and Scarlett
Johansson as Major being cool but not nearly as cool as Milla Jovovich
as Alice in Residential Evil. For the fun factor I rate this movie 6 out of 10
Cyber-Enhanced Humans. I would say wait to see this movie at home.

I just might buy this when it comes out on Blu-ray... maybe.

Fun part to watch for: Mom, breaking your heart.

Perhaps I should grab some delicious grapefruit from
one of the Ranch's trees so I can snack on them...

...when I go to see Pirates Five! Huzzah I am THERE!

Monday, April 17, 2017

Two more movies to add to my small but growing Jason Statham
collection. "Parker" and "Safe". I have no idea about either movie
but they were only $3.74 each and Kick-Butt Jason is in them.

We shall see.

Be our guest, be our guest, put our service to the test.
Tie your napkin 'round your neck, cherie, and we provide
the rest!

Anyway, that is what it looks like to me.

====================================================

...later that night.

I watched "Safe" tonight. Holy cow! Another good one. Above you see the
handsome Mr. Statham onscreen at Borden Cinema as a guy who does
not like it when you threaten little girls. Nobody is going to save you from
him if you do. Great action again. I was not bored for a minute.
I rate "Safe" 7.5 out of 10 Secret Codes.

Crow 1: "Let's keep the fire behind us."
Crow 2: "I agree, my friend. WAY behind us."

Friday, April 14, 2017

I was walking by these things at Walmart and it said
I gotta have one, so I got one. Actually. they are great
for holding band-aids and such in your purse.

I cooked up some potatoes and bacon
in BBQ sauce today. Man, this was good.

I used the Bull's-Eye brand Original BBQ sauce.
Good stuff.

I added another movie to my small Jason Statham collection.
This movie is called "Wild Card". Jason plays a kind of down
on his luck badass living in Las Vegas. He is asked to do a
favor by a close friend and that may or may not get him into
hot water with folks who may or may not be... mob guys.

This movie kept me interested for the entire 92 minutes. This
was a good one. Jason's movies are almost like watching those
fun action movies back in the 1980's, but updated. I didn't think
anybody could capture that again. I rate this movie about 7.5
out of 10 butter knives. I will be on the hunt for more Jason films.

Bonus: A fun part to look out for is Jason getting his butt
whooped by a smaller guy.

If you cannot get your Kart (A) to the Kart Korral (B), leaving your cart
where it can possibly damage the cars of folks who just want to park
and do their weekly shopping, I think that makes you a person of
lazy character and much too common these days.

Wednesday, April 12, 2017

Yeah, I still have not seen the movie so I guess I am just
going to go with it: The insane looking rabbit is loved by
children the world over. This package says "English" on it,
so I am thinkin' that there are psychotic French speaking
rabbits out there as well.

Tuesday, April 11, 2017

Wow. They are putting it right out there. I cannot wait for
Alien Covenant. I've been waiting for a follow-up to
Prometheus since 2012. I cannot believe that it has
been five years.

Monday, April 10, 2017

It's that time again. The rows and rows of beautiful pastel
Easter colors at Walmart. I just eat that stuff up. And speaking
of eat, I bought my chocolate in an egg carton as is my custom.
And the chocolate bunny was a gift. He is a "Snapsy". He
"snaps apart" in all the right places. Sad but true.

I'm saving this stuff for Easter.

Sunday, April 9, 2017

When I went to town this week to buy my "Rogue One" Blu-ray,
the day was so beautiful I decided to take a little break and...

...sit on the bricks of this very nice little spot.
I love the cool rocks. Pretty.

Doh.

DOH!

If I were just starting to collect Star Wars stuff, I would
have room for one of these and I might buy one.

I am not proud of this. I'm supposed to be
a grownup. I mean, this stuff is not
even collectible... but it is fun.

Friday, April 7, 2017

Yeah...

...because these things always work.

It's Rogue One Day here at The Ranch.
And to celebrate, I went to town and bought my very own
copy of  "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", released just today.

This is the Target Exclusive. This edition has the 3D Blu-ray,
Blu-ray, DVD, Bonus Disc, the Target Exclusive Bonus Disc
and a digital copy. It also features five interchangeable covers.
I've been waiting for this and I cannot wait to see the movie again.

Duct tape fixes anything.
It's a fact.

May The Force be with you.
