I bought myself another knife that I did not need and overpaid
for simply because I wanted it and I love to collect knives that
I can kind of afford. This is the Victorinox MiniChamp and it has
a few more features and which is basically a glorified version of
a Swiss Classic. This will go on my keychain for now.

To be honest, I really didn't need this knife as it has features
that I will never ever use and it doesn't have a few that I need.
But this thing has been kicking me in the side for months and
wouldn't stop until I brought it home.

And to be even more honester, I really don't need more than a
few knives to get the jobs done that I need done, but the knife
bug bites some of us really hard.

I went to this new Walmart. It's really amazing how nice they
are inside before the masses find them. No pictures from
inside. Fail!

Folks illegally parked in a "Handicapped Parking" zone again. It
may look like one of the spots is not marked "handicapped",
but that is not the case. One side is for parking and the other is
for unloading passengers. And people who park here illegally
know it.

It just really bothers me when people are lazy to the point of
putting others out. I am this close (look at my fingers, look
at them!) to confronting them. The only thing that stops me is
that I would be one of "THOSE" people and probably end
up on YouTube, or worse yet, COPS.

But check out that sweet ride in the form of a red pick-up back
there on the left. I don't know much from trucks, but I'm pretty
hip to sweetness.

Twelve feet to the trash bin, just twelve feet away.
Twelve feet to the trash bin, you can do that any day.
...or not.

With thanks to Biohazard.

This picture is lower quality because I was undercover. You
could not pay me enough to work at a 7-Eleven liquor store,
unless I was armed. And then you still could not pay me
enough to work at a 7-Eleven store.

And speaking of coinage, I scored some chocolate coins. I
absolutely love chocolate coins. I love to look at them, I love
to hold them and play with them and I love to eat them.

I wish they would have had black.

But it's a candy filled "egg" for Easter and lime green, pink
and light blue is all Walmart had. It doesn't say what kind
of candy is inside. But I really hope it is Episode Four
candy and not Episode One candy.

It is with a heavy heart that I report the demise of this Little Caesar's
Pizza because the Kmart it was located in took a dive. I really enjoyed
taking a drive here every once in a while (yes, it is a distance from El
Rancho De La Tex as is everything) and pigging out on a pizza.
Color me forlorn.

And the weather has taken a turn today. Fitting.

OMG my life revolves around PIZZA.
(And popcorn, my life revolves around popcorn too.)
Let's get past this post, shall we?

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Helloooo there, old timer.
This is a little cowboy bust that I have had for some time,
but I for the life of me cannot remember where I got it.

Monday, March 24, 2014

I bought my Tinker Bell (often misspelled "Tinkerbell") pin
at one of the shops in Fantasyland at Disneyland in about
2003. I think it was from Fairy Tale Treasures. I love the
green color and Tinker Bell is one of my favorite Disney
characters period.

Six dollars and fifty cents. Not too bad for a great memory.
And this pin looks awesome on the pocket of a Levi jacket.

Fun Fact: Tinker Bell seems to have extreme ups and downs
being very nice one minute but jealous and angry the next. This
is because fairies are so small they can hold only one emotion
at at time.

Apple can't leave anything alone I guess.

....also,

The Coyotes were going crazy on
El Rancho De La Tex tonight.

I like these flags at Carl's Jr.

Friday, March 21, 2014

The real one didn't plug in.

That would've defeated the whole purpose.

Thursday, March 20, 2014

I spotted this random sticker on a pole when I was
out and about today. I have no idea who or what this is.
Probably a band or something. Or a skateboard dude.
Or a loady who wants attention. Maybe it is somebody
really famous and I am just out of the loop.
Who knows....

All in all it's just a... nother snake in... the road.
(Not a rattler.)

Today is the day that Saving Mr. Banks comes out on DVD
and Blu-ray. We had seen this movie on Christmas day and it
was pretty good. A tear jerker to be certain. Not my favorite
kind, but worth the buy. So I went over to Best Buy to pick it up.

While I was there I spotted Man of Steel on sale. I had seen it in the
theater and it was just kind of okay. I wanted to get it but not until
it came way down in price, which it finally did. I'm gonna rewatch it.

But when we are talking Superman movies...

...to me, there is only one Superman and that is Christopher Reeve.
What a guy he was. And only 26 years old when he first starred
as the Man of Steel. "You've got me?! Who's got you?!?"

I'll give ya three guesses.

You know I've loved cowboys, the Old West and all of that for
practically my whole life. So there is no secret as to why I bought
this hat at one of the shops in Frontierland at Disneyland in 1973.

I've had this hat a loooooong time and have taken no special care
of it. It is in surprisingly good condition.

The only markings it has is the name of the style: "Derringer". There
is also a little tag inside the band that states the size and "100%
Pure Wool". That translates to "don't get it wet or the shape of the hat
you see now will not be the shape of the hat you see later." I'm also betting
that some of the dye will come off onto your hands. Hope not, but
I wouldn't doubt it. It's not a Resistol and back then and for the
most part now I cannot afford beaver fur.

Somebody recently broke the radio's antenna off of our truck and
to repair it at this point would be cost prohibitive. Well sir, when
vandals hand you lemons, serve up that thar lemonade. I got me a
radio and I put it right by our pinned down circular Global
Positioning System. We are back in business boys and girls.
And thy name is High Tech.

Vogue.
Young Micheal Myers from the Neca Cult Classics, Halloween:
The Evolution of Evil double figure pack (2006) strikes a pose.

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Whatever. It will always be a singing cartoon duck to me.

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

I was doing some periodic maintenance and general sprucing
up on a few things today including some of my favorite badges
and I took this picture of them. There are a few badges that I
would love to have that have so far eluded me and I really
doubt that I will ever find or be able to afford them,
but I still think about it.

These are of course reproductions. Not real, but real well made.

I'ma baaaaaaaad girl.
I bought these Chocolate Easter Egg candies a week
or two ago and I opened them.

Hey, these are good! I didn't expect them to be wrapped
individually. I had the two strawberry marshmallow flavored
ones. I know we all like specialty shop chocolate, but if you like
some cheap $1 Walmart Easter candy, I totally can recommend
these. And now I will just have to buy more I suppose.
*sigh*

Sunday, March 9, 2014

I most certainly will not.

Saturday, March 8, 2014

Wait.

Friday, March 7, 2014

I found something really cool at Fry's Electronics. I had
no idea that these things or even this type of thing existed.

It is a Joby Gorillapod Micro250 tripod for point
and shoot cameras.

This tripod will hook up to your camera in seconds. It has rubber
footpads and a ball joint that will allow you to tilt your camera
in any direction up to 36 degrees. It is advertised as something
that you can keep attached to your camera full time so you can
just whip it out at a moment's notice to catch those great shots.
However, I don't think it fits that bill which is okay because it
just takes seconds to attach anyway.

I paid $19.95 for it, but check out Amazon because I think you
can get it for less than $15.00. I love this thing. It is awesome.

~ La Tapatia ~

Hey!
Whatever could this movie be about?!

Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Yummy yummy goodness!
Crystal Lake Memories, The Complete History
of Friday the 13th! Be still my heart.

Today's post isn't a photo I took. Instead it is a postcard that my
cousin sent to me when he went to boot camp (I think it's called
boot camp) for the Air Force in 1980. It shows how the guys get
all their hair cut off when they first check in. It's kind of weird
that they have postcards like this. I wouldn't like this very much.

This is an amateur music concert at The Spreckels Organ
Pavilion in Balboa Park, San Diego, California.

This is a real amateur short video of the above.

Sunday, March 2, 2014

Everybody roll your eyes,
it's another pizza post.

And all the way from Mars.

Saturday, March 1, 2014

This is one of those "things" that you see mixed in with a lot of
other items on a store's shelf. You usually don't really notice stuff
like this. But if you did stop to look at it, you would know that it
was an experiment (quite possibly involving a fly, an avocado
and a football) that went horribly wrong.
