The Inkslinger's Ball is (or was) a tattoo convention held every
year in September at The Hollywood Palladium (in Hollywood of course).
I attended the convention quite a few times. It was outstanding and many
of the world's top artists and slingers were there. If you were lucky you'd
be able to book an artist for the day and not have to travel to Europe or
South America to have some work done. Here is a photo I took of the
legendary artist Jack Armstrong. Although I still have a love for body art,
I'm just not sure that I want any more (but I do). I have a lot as it is, art
that for the most part I am able to conceal.

This is probably circa 1993.

If I bet money that you never thought you would see this today,
I'm sure I would win.

Oh man... I took the top picture at about 4:30 PM today and it shows
an anthill that I've been watching these little guys make. They did this
in about four days. Pretty impressive says I.

I took the bottom picture at about 11:30 PM as the rain started up. It looks
like those poor little guys have to start all. over. again. I would just hang it
up, call it a life and go find an old grape to suck on.

That's right. I saw Randy Travis. Thirteenth row. Center.
I'm a Randy fan-girl. I've been listening to Randy for going on
thirty years. I was lucky enough to see him a few years ago
and I bought his picture at the concert. I was unable to have it signed,
but that's okay. I have the ticket and the memory.

Randy is one of the only country artists left who is (at least to me)
keeping traditional country music alive.

This swing caught my eye the minute I left the store, because
I'm slightly countrified like that. The only thing is, the store this
is outside of is Big Lots, AKA in the old days as Pic 'N' Save.

The same Pic 'N' Save stores that sold those Clacker toys that consisted of
two hard epoxy balls on a string that you "clack" together right before
they clack you in your temple and kill you, for life. So I'm just not
too sure about sitting my butt down on a rustic log swing from Big Lots.
It could be a Clacker in disguise just waiting to clack my coccyx.

But it's got that Country Bear Jamboree thing goin on and I really like that.

Wow! Check out the buds!

Here is another in my series of photographs that I took on
a visit to the Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Griffith
Park, California. This is the statue of  Gene and his Wonder
Horse Champion that greets you as you enter the museum's square.
Do an image search of this statue and you will see many
folks like you and I standing with it to have our picture taken.

One cool item that always stands out to me and that I love
are the pistols that are a part of Champion's bridle.

I did have an emergency appointment at the dentist today. Fun City.
The top photo shows the back of the monitor for the x-ray display, and
the bottom shows my glorious tooth, which is screaming, "PULL ME NOW!"

...and that is what we did.  I am now "relaxing" at home in a small amount of pain
and I think I will retire to my room soon to watch a new Blu-ray copy of
Napoleon Dynamite. I love Napoleon. GOSH.

(Monday 04/23/12 - I must have been a bit out of it. I just noticed I spelled my last
name wrong on the pictures. I'm feeling a bit better now. Stitches out soon.)

In honor of the pretty much Annual Toothache (so that I
can always have at least a year of monthly payments) that
I feel coming on, here is another view from my dentist's
chair. I do love my dentist and all of the staff, but this is
untimely and never a good thing.

I just finished paying off the last one about 3 months ago.

The Elektra Records building in Burbank, California.

Well, it was pouring in parts of So Cal today. I ran over to the
Target store to pick up some stuff and came across something
I had never seen before. They have these plastic bags at the
door for your wet umbrella. Put it in the bag and wah-la! You
can carry that soaked thing under your arm! I tell ya, these
things are the cats pajamas.

Hey... Don't judge me. I don't get out much.

It's Friday the 13th again!
Like I've said before, I would be a really lousy fan girl
if I let this date go by. So in honor of this Friday the 13th
here are a couple of Jason keychains that I have in my
collection of Voorhees love.

~ Happy Friday the 13th ~

I went out for pizza today for the first time in months.
As I've written before, Killer Pizza is stupendous.

I recorded the video with my iPod. One day I would like
to get a real video camera. But I guess I always say that.

Sometimes, when it is raining very hard, for longer
periods of time, this kind of stuff happens.

Sunday, April 8, 2012

Wow, it's Easter again.

Thursday, April 5, 2012

"Uh, Houston? Can I get an ETA on those McNuggets?"

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

That's right. I have a lantern in my room.
We bad.

I do this all the time.
