Some notes about William Matthew "Bill" Tilghman.
From my visit to the Gene Autry Western Heritage
Museum, Griffith Park, California.... 2012.

A few of Mr. Tilghman's belongings. Nice.

And a closer view of his pistol as that's the way I roll.
The museum does not specify the exact make and
caliber of the pistol, and I will not hazard a guess.

One dollar a loaf at Walmart.
Yeah this is good.

Monday, November 27, 2017

I went to Walmart and they had a bunch of leftover DVDs and
a few Blu-rays at Black Friday prices. One or two good deals
to be had.

The pricing system was posted thusly.

As you can see I found "The Purge: Election Year", "Split"
and "Deadpool" for just $3.96 each. I needed The Purge to
complete my collection. And I had seen Split in the theater
but never wanted to pay full price for it and Deadpool?
I watched it tonight and I really liked it. Funny violence.

I paid $5.00 for Sixteen Candles. Not a
Black Friday thing.

This public service flyer came with Deadpool.
"Hey, you pop the corn and I'll check my
bag of beans!" Just another movie night.

This is a Sleeping Beauty bank that we bought at
The Emporium on Main Street at Disneyland so
many years ago I don't know when it was.
I mean, SO many years ago.
It scares me how many years ago.

Sleeping Beauty and Belle are my favorite Princesses.
This bank is made out of a hard rubber of sorts. Vinyl?
Something like that.

Here comes another one.

Friday, November 24, 2017

I discovered a new cocoa mix the other day. Oreo.
OREO? This is worth a try.

Boiling the water. You can use milk or water with
this mix. I use water of course.

Wow, there are even bits of Oreo cookies floating
around in there. This was really good. It costs a bit
more, but so far it's worth it.

I decided what the heck... As long as I was out here
I thought I would try scrambling some eggs in the
pretty small fry pan of my newish Snow Peak
Trek 900 titanium pot set.

I scrambled two eggs this time and it was a lot easier
than I figured it would be. I actually thought the little
pan would be pretty useless except as a cover for the pot.
I was really pleasantly surprised.

Next time I will add a few potatoes and some
bacon. I am anxious to try this.
And yes, I like my eggs pretty well done.

And don't forget the trash. No matter where you are,
you pack it in, you pack it out.

I finished up today just as the sun was going down.
Beautiful.

Arrows at The Indian Store.

"The Longest Ride". I did it. I didn't want to do it, but I did it.
Romance, blah. But Scott Eastwood, rodeo... And the price came
a'WAY down and this movie has intrigued me for a long time.

So I did it.

There is a tombstone in our garage...

...and another Little Caesars in my car.

Sunday, November 19, 2017

Another turtle moved in.

Saturday, November 18, 2017

At first look I think them to be cute. But then
I remember how destructive they are. They can
spread disease and they are bad bad news.

Yep, no room for mice around here.

The start of sunset at El Rancho today....

...with kind of a strange looking contrail.

Thursday, November 16, 2017

The holidays tend to bring out the... *ahem*... best, in some folks.

Wednesday, November 15, 2017

Five dollars? You would have to pay me
more than that to take it home.

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Just looking up the road and wondering if that
guy is illegally dumping his old furniture.

Monday, November 13, 2017

I had seen "Atomic Blonde" in the theater and I couldn't wait for
it to come out on Blu-ray so I could watch it again, and here she is.
I watched it. I remember enjoying the soundtrack and yeah, excellent!
The gun play was as fun as I remember.

I was not super impressed with the fight scenes the first time around,
but this time I liked them better. I was able to see some action, technique
and strategy that I missed on my first viewing. Charlize Theron is pretty
bad-ass. You see that guy on the left that she just played with? He is all
like, "Oh... God... JEEZ, that really hurts..."
The guy with his back to us is ABOUT to say that.

I am not a big fan of fighting in real life, but in the movies I love to watch
it. It is like two (or three or four) people dancing with each other.
When it is done well (to me) like this movie or "Resident Evil" or
"John Wick" to name a few, it is a lot of fun.

This movie is totally worth seeing. I paid $19.99 and I am not sorry.

Another fun thing to look for: The guy
falling backwards down the stairs.

Sunday, November 12, 2017

I inherited a G.I. Joe figure. He is from 1964. I have the box
he came in as well. It is marked $2.98. I have the original
clothes he came in too. The uniform he is wearing is Air Force.

The beret is I have no idea. I need to switch out his clothes soon.
The stand is not one that was made for him. It is for a much more
recent G.I. Joe figure. Gonna trade that out for a doll stand.

This guy has so many moving joints it is incredible.

~ Veterans Day 2017 ~

Friday, November 10, 2017

Subway Restaurant had to lock the restroom at
this location. If that cup could talk...

Thursday, November 9, 2017

I'm a little taken aback every time
I pass by this display.

Wednesday, November 8, 2017

Back on Thursday, August 15, 2013 I posted that I had
seen a bit of Disney Pixar's "Cars" on TV and it looked
so good that I right away hunted down and bought a copy
on Blu-ray. And doggone it, it WAS good.

Then "Cars 2" was released but it received less than
stellar reviews so I passed when it came out.

Now "Cars 3" is out and folks have said it is
great. So I picked it up today. This is the Blu-ray/DVD
Digibook version. It has an embossed cover and a 32 page
story book. Very nice and I can't wait to see the movie.

(And now, since I am for the most part a completest,
I'm pretty sure I will pick up part 2 if I can find it for a
good price.)

Then I stopped by World Market since I was close by and
stocked up on more incense. I also used to like to buy jalapeno
stuffed olives there until they got to be too expensive.

But today I found a jar with the World Market name on them.
Twice as many olives at half the price of the other brand
I used to buy. I will give them a go.

Okay.... GOOD OLIVES! Semi-hot and I love the garlic flavor.
This picture makes them look not too great, but I guarantee you,
they are delicious. Now to try and not eat them all in one day and
make myself sick.

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

I watched the movie "Lone Survivor" tonight.

This movie is i-n-t-e-n-s-e. I do recommend this movie. But I will
tell you what... When it is over you are going to be tired. I even had
to look away a few times *cough*fallingdownthehillside*coughcough*
and for me that is RARE. This movie left me a little speechless.
I rate this movie 7.5 out of 10
really. tough. dudes.

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Some really cool wooden pirate
chest/boxes at the Indian Store.

Friday, November 3, 2017

This guy was hilarious chasing the wolf around the globe.
And then.... Hellooooo Joe.

A Droopy Dog figure from 1989. I believe he was
a McDonald's Happy Meal thing or another.

Thursday, November 2, 2017

Things that make you go... huh.

Wednesday, November 1, 2017

I had a visitor the other day.
I got really close trying to get a good picture.

I think I must have made him mad. His little
tail (or head?) started to vibrate away. I don't
really know what that means.

Pancakes on a cool day.
