I bought "Leatherface" on Blu-ray. This is the origin story of
Leatherface of the infamous Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Not
sure if his name is Hewitt or Sawyer or what in this movie.
I will find out. This movie gets dumped on all over the place.
But good or bad, I had to have it for my TCM collection.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...later that night.

I watched Leatherface. Not going to say too much except...
not too impressed. Nothing new. What they think is clever,
I don't. And holy cow... this is supposed to be TEXAS and
the movie was made in Bulgaria. You lose me right there.

I am going to give this movie 4.5 "Wait a sec, which one is
supposed to be Leatherface again?"s out of 10. As I said,
I needed it for my TCM collection, but I don't know if I will
ever even watch it again.

I got my hands on a .50 caliber round. I've seen these at
gun shows and they are HUGE. Pretty impressive.
However...

...this is actually a .50 caliber bottle opener that the
National Rifle Association sent to me for renewing
my membership for another year. It is still impressive.

Am I the only one who forgets the shopping bags (we
paid for) at home? Actually I am pretty pleased with
myself that I remember to take them back to the store
when I shop about four out of five times. But the picture
above illustrates how many times that
fifth time comes around.

They say, "Leave them in the car and you will have
'em when you need 'em!"

Sure, then when I unload my groceries from the car,
the bags will be back in the house.

Tis a vicious circle says I.

I suppose this is what they call re-purposing? These two
items are usually on my dresser. The Fiestaware is for
pennies and the bacon drippings container is for silver.

I do not know why I still do this.

I found a Black Friday leftover at Walmart. "Independence Day: Resurgence".
It was PROMO priced at just a little over five dollars. A lot of people have
dumped on this movie so I never bought it. But for this price I did... buy it.
I watched it and it was a lot of fun. Lot's of action, a few tear jerker
moments and some reminiscing.

The size of the alien ships in Part One is fifteen miles across. I thought
THAT was big. The size in THIS movie? All I will say is... HOLY COW!

Knowing what I know now, I would have happily paid $7.88 for
this movie. Judd Hirsch and Jeff Goldblum: Classic. I'm going
to rate this movie 6.3 out of 10 Machetes Mistaken for Katanas.

Rest in Peace Robert Loggia.

From my 2010 visit to the Gene Autry Museum of Western
Heritage is this photo of a beautiful Slim Jim holster circa 1850.
1850... Man... That is 31 years before the infamous Gunfight at
the O.K. Corral.... This is just amazing. Wyatt Earp was two
years old. Nine years before Billy the Kid was born. Butch Cassidy
was not born until sixteen years later. Mark Twain was only fifteen
years old. It would be eleven years until the start of the Civil War.

Anyway, you get the idea. This holster has been around a while.

Oooooohhhh yeah. My son bought for me another
bunch of buttery flavor popcorn topping. He knew
that at this point in time I did not want to spend as
much as it cost to get one of these. So he
surprised me with a container.

He did the same thing back on Sunday, November
17th, 2013, as I posted then. The difference between that
time and THIS time is now I know how much not to use
and it will last a lot longer. I have not had any since then.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are
back in the popcorn business.

Cool kids are cool.
