I guess I have nothing to say about these gumball machines
at the mall in Temecula, California.

The lower photo shows my favorite slot machine at one of the casinos in San Diego County. Star Wars. I like this one because you can watch short clips of the movie above the machines. I don't enjoy gambling all that much so it gives me something to do while folks I am with try their hand at losing. And all the neon colors are fantastic.

And yes, that is not my arm.

I was out running errands today and this is where I ended up.
I don't think I really wanted to end up on Tobacco Road, so I drove on.

Check out these 3-D glasses. These are the glasses I (lifted) used when I went to see Final Destination 5 in IMAX 3-D tonight. I think these glasses are really old school. I am pretty sure these are the same style (non fold-up) glasses that we were given at Disneyland when viewing Captain EO starring Michael Jackson and that was a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago.

I am sure that as an audience we all look a lot more hip wearing the REAL 3-D glasses than these. Can you picture a whole bunch of people donning these things all at once? I am betting we all look pretty cheezy. Plus, these glasses are absolutely BRUTAL on the bridge of the nose.

Oh, and FD5 was really good.

I've heard of these, but never actually seen a truck
with a "HELP ME!" hole.

This is just a picture I took when I went to my last doctor's appointment. I was killing some time waiting at McDonald's off of Ventura Blvd in Encino (CA). It was a windy and rainy day and I always found the colors on this building interesting. Those trees were actually bending bigtime in the wind but I was not quick enough with my camera to catch it.

These are not Poindexter's (reference Felix the Cat) spectacles. These are the 3-D glasses we were given when we went to see Final Destination 4. Yes, I am a thief, I took them. But leaving behind the "my life of crime" discussion for the moment, are these glasses old school, or what? Or maybe these "DOLBY 3-D" glasses are just a bit more "clunky" than the "REAL 3-D" glasses I am used to are. And they do not fold up. That open position is permanent.

Had I noticed the "Anti-Theft Tag Installed" note printed inside the frame I would have been much too nervous to walk out with them. It's a good thing I didn't see it.
Right? RIGHT? Nevermind.

We found this dead tarantula in our garage.
Better dead than alive, and better in the garage
than in the house is what I say.

Have you seen these things? Hurricane simulators. They are popping up at indoor malls. For the paltry sum of two dollars you may step inside and have your hair blown every which way to Sunday.
I continue to let this experience slip through my fingers.
(I took the picture with my cell phone camera.)

Hokey smokes! It's the trashcan in the garage of Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin ride in Toontown at Disneyland... And remember, the can on the right is only for rags.

I wonder who THIS trash belongs to.
I'll have to look into this and report back tomorrow.

I was driving along a road today and I spotted this large avocado tree.
To me it looked like... well.... Let's just say I added a few things
to make it look more like I thought it should.

Ozzy! Ozzy! Ozzy!

We had a couple of visitors who were eating the grapes off of our vines tonight. The pictures aren't that good... I suppose it's because my camera is not that great (and I am not that great). Complete darkness to flash exposure in 00000000.000000001 seconds does not work that well either. But hey, enough lame excuses.

The eyes on those guys seem to be glowing because of a light-reflecting surface behind the retina called the tapetum lucidum. It helps them to see better in the dark.

And that is as scientifically involved as Lizzy gets.
