It was my son's birthday again recently and our tradition is to

play a round of miniature golf and then go out for a steak. We

get steak about once a year max so this is a treat. Above is a
portion of the arcade at the golf center. You have seen it before.

But here in something you have NOT seen before. I only spent a

dollar on arcade games and won this swell Chinese handcuff and
a whistle that does not work!

Dang, we had us a time I'll tell you what.

The season is just beginning.

Can't wait for the Annual Halloween Crawl when the

stuff will get a bit more... scary.

I miss David Bowie so much.

"Life On Mars?" - 1971

This is an ashtray that I bought in Louisiana sometime

in the 1970's. It looks a little weird because it is still

sporting some wax from when somebody in a past life

burned a candle in it. That's okay. I no longer need to use
 this as an ashtray because I quit smoking cigarettes. As a
matter of fact, today is my Eighteen Year Anniversary
being smoke free.

I smoked for most of my life and then off and on for a

few more years, but I can say with 98% confidence that

I am now smoke free for life. I don't even think about

smoking anymore. This is good. Anyway... Huzzah!

Let me add as I always do that I side with folks who
choose to smoke. I am not anti-tobacco or anti-smokers.
I just don't smoke anymore.

Last year on Monday, September 28th I had written that my son and

I would not be going on our Annual Halloween Crawl (the day we go

out and hit up a lot the Halloween stores in our area). We cancelled due

to the crazy Covid things going on. It just didn't seem like it would be

that much fun with all the uncertainty of the day.

But this year I am happy to say that we will once again be crawling in

about three weeks! I am saving my pennies for the possible cool scary

item or two. I took the above picture today at Walmart.

Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls, Halloween is ON.

I recently ran across this Calico Mine ride ticket for the

beautiful dark ride at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA.

This ticket is from the 1960's or 70's. Not sure which. I love

the ticket's design. I have no idea if they still use these
tickets or not.

It was a lot of money for me right now, but this is one of the movies

I promised myself that I would buy as soon as it was released,

and I did. "Black Widow". I love Black Widow and I just hope that

this movie lives up to her character.
