I don't know what this thing is doing on this
truck, but I like what it is doing on this truck.

I bought "Goodnight Mommy" on DVD. This
is suppose to be pretty good and not what you
think. That is sometimes good. Anyway...
It looks freaky.

Looking through all the music CDs in the dump bin at
Walmart I come across a lot of them that claim to be
Country Music. And when I come across a CD that has a
"country" artist with an earring in each ear and a hat
highlighted by chocolate colored spray paint, I am 99.99%
sure that he won't be my cup 'o tea. And I am usually right
in my thinking, as I am this time.

I guess it is good for shaking your boo-tay and stomping
your boots once or twice at the White Horse Cafe.

I drew this. I'm serious.

Here is a selection of antlers on a table at the
Indian store we visit on occasion. The next time
you see these they might be hunting tools or
eating utensils or even jewelry.

~ Happy Thanksgiving - 2015 ~

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Here is a beautiful tropical island sunset
I enjoyed while on vacation not too long ago.

I wish!

Tuesday, November 24, 2015

Good old Johnny Rockets.
"All-American Hamburgers".
Oh man. They are closed.

Chimps in Space (Ball2 Game)!

Another beautiful sunset here at El Rancho De La Tex.

The water level is getting pretty low. And this is where fire
fighting helicopters pick up their loads of water when we have
brush fires around here. Welcome to today's California.
Folks, they got us coming, and they got us going.

Whenever a new "Resident Evil" movie comes out, or a "Paranormal
Activity" or a "Final Destination" movie is released, I have to go
see it in the theater and then I have to own it. There are just some
things like that.

The same goes for any Randy Travis or Kenny G album. And Enya
falls into that category and so today I bought her new CD called
"Dark Sky Island". I have only heard bits of it so far,
but I'm liking it a lot. I always like Enya. It never fails.

Have you ever given the following any thought? If you were in the
perfect position of being on your (natural) death bed, surrounded
by family and loved friends, what music would you like to hear
during your final moments on this earth? Just something I think
about from time to time.

HEAT. Blu-ray. De Niro. Pacino. Kilmer. Firefight extraordinaire.

Thouest interest is piquedethed?

On the 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks CA,
passing by the Sunkist building.

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

A building in Maine. I remember when I was
young, a lot of places like this were painted silver.
At least, that is what is in my memory banks.

I went over to Bath and Body Works and
bought my Annual Supply of Vanilla Bean
Noel. I love this lotion so much. I say this
just about every year and I will say it again...
Using this lotion is like being a pancake
covered in maple syrup.
SO good.

And I am very excited about this. I finally found
"Quantum of Solace" on Blu-ray and now my
Daniel Craig "James Bond" series is caught up.
I will buy "Spectre" (currently in theaters) when
it comes out on Blu-ray and that will be that.

Mr. Craig has indicated that he is no longer interested
in making any more 007 pictures. Dang-nabbit.
He is my favorite James Bond by far.

A nice little break spot along Trails West at
the Autry Museum of Western Heritage. You
know I love this place.

This came in my son's Loot Crate last month.
We could not even begin to guess what was inside.

This was.
A "Kidrobot Homer Simpson Buddha 7" Vinyl
Figure". He is supposed to be all zenned out. I don't
get it, but I like it. He comes with a golden donut and
beads. They are not in the picture because we did not
discover them until later.

Coffee Break.

Friday, November 13, 2015

Happy Friday the 13th!
I love Friday the 13th and this picture features my
NECA Cult Classics Hall of Fame Jason Voorhees
Action Figure. He is from Part 2 and this version is
lovingly referred to as the "sack head" Jason.

 Welcome.

I bought "Terminator Genisys" on Blu-ray and DVD today.
I am kicking myself though because it came out on Tuesday,
and when I was out and about on Tuesday I didn't buy it,
because I didn't KNOW that it came out on Tuesday.
It was less expensive on Tuesday. *KICK*

Ouch.

But I watched it tonight and I liked it better the second time.
I had seen it in the theater. Weakest link: Jason Clark. I decided
after giving him multiple chances, I don't enjoy him. And darn
if he doesn't pop up in so many movies I want to see. I liked Emilia
Clarke who played Sarah Connor better the second time around.
And Arnold? Unlike some, I enjoy him most all of the time.

Anyway...

I also bought "Bullet to the Head" with Sylvester Stallone from the
$3.74 bin at Walmart. I think it will be macho gun shooting fun, and
that's about all. Gonna watch it tomorrow night.

~ Veteran's Day 2015 ~

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

A friend gave this to me for Christmas many many
many many many, many years ago. I have no idea
what it is. Nobody else does either. The most popular
guesses over the years have been pipe holder or
incense burner.

Monday, November 9, 2015

Just a couple of palm trees I
saw while out and about today.

Sunday, November 8, 2015

On my son's birthday we went miniature golfing again.
It has become kind if a tradition. This year we played
Course Number Two. Number Two has kind of a "castle"
type theme gloin' on as opposed to Number One
which is "pirates".

We all decided we liked the "pirates" side better, but the
water features on either side are great.

And I finally won some tickets. I gave them to my son
who in turn gave them to a little girl (with her parent's
blessings of course).

And the most important feature of any mini golf course:
the stairs leading up to the restrooms. (Maybe it is
age that dictates importance.)

Idjiots.

Friday, November 6, 2015

You only need 7,500 tickets to win this gorgeous bicycle
at the miniature golf arcade. Or maybe you would rather
just fork over $2000.00 and be done with it.

This is a "holiday" themed placemat over at Denny's
coffee shop. It has one of those "word scramble" games
on it. I left it big just in case you might like to open it
up in a new tab or window and have some fun with it.
Just don't look at the answers in the lower right hand
corner of the picture. Now... 3......2.......1..... GO!

Thursday, November 5, 2015

Borden Cinema played Silverado (1985) tonight.
Starring Scott "Wes Hightower" Glenn and Kevin
Costner, this movie has one of the greatest gags
ever in a Western movie (to me).

Kevin Costner's character "Jake" slowly backs out of
the saloon, he adjusts himself, and yells "HEY!"
to the two men on each side of the building. They both
turn, draw and are CUT down by Jake's quick gun
handling. A pistol in each hand.

Just a great scene in an underrated movie.

Arvo Ojala was the "technical gun coach" for Silverado.
Mr. Ojala who has passed on was a great leather worker.
I don't doubt that he supplied all the leather for the movie.

He has or had a store out in Burbank I think it was. I
went there once looking for a holster for a pistol I have and
I ignorantly declined to buy a holster his son showed to
me. It wasn't the one I wanted. But it WAS a freakin' Arvo
Ojala. I kick myself for that.

Mr. Ojala can be seen at the beginning of every "Gunsmoke"
show. James Arness shot him down in the street every week.

~ Random Picture Day ~
Here is a view of a golf driving range
from behind a fence and a net.

As soon as this car moves out of the way...

Behold the bummer that is this broken tree.

I know it is supposed to happen, but still...

A Blink car charging station. No waiting.
Oh, and the cord? Be kind. Rewind.

Sunday, November 1, 2015

Made a late night Mexican food run.
Cash only.

Wonderful chips.

I bought a few more great CDs. Randy Travis' "Around
the Bend". How I did not have this one I do not know.
I've been a fan of George Strait for years but I have recently
been listening to him a lot. I picked up his "One Step at a Time"
and I also bought Slipknot's "Vol. 3 The Subliminal Verses".
"Buy two used get the third used free" deal. All three were $10.78.

I also bought George's "Here for a Good Time".
I am really enjoying him.
