I love WALL-E, and EVE of course.
I bought this set at the Disney Store
for a good price about ten years ago.

Hi WALL-E!

~ Random Around the Ranch Photo of the Day ~
I took a little walk and took this picture.
The other day we had an appliance repairman come to the ranch
to take a look at our refrigerator. Before he left he asked if he could
have some of the fruit from our cactus. "Sure man. Take as much
as you want."  And he did.

They are part of the Rebel
Alliance and are traitors!

But I will tell you what, I would NEVER eat in this tent.
One drunk driver or "I mistook the gas for the brake pedal,
Officer" and you are the lead story on tonight's evening news.

I have been really curious about "AVA". I know nothing about
it other than Jessica Chastain plays "a deadly assassin who works
for a black ops organization". That sounds cool. And I like Jessica
Chastain. Hopefully it will not turn out like Blake Lively in "The
Rhythm Section". She was the "assassin" who was afraid to off
anybody. Towards the end of the movie I was hoping John Wick
would come in a put her out of her misery.
The DVD "AVA" came a'way down in price. $5.00.

John Malkovich is great. I like Colin "I take myself SO
seriously" Farrell. And Common was really good in "John
Wick 2". We will see what he does here.

Will "AVA" make it onto my "Bad Ass Women" movie shelf?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...later that night.

"AVA" will squeak it's way onto my "Bad Ass Women" shelf.
The only problem with the action is that they use camera motion
to cover up for fighting moves that are not actually made.
Kind of cheating, unlike movies like "John Wick" that show
ALL the moves. But, at least she actually kills people.
I will visit this movie again.

I don't have a rating yet.

(P.S. They set the end up for a sequel and I hope
they make it. I don't think they will.)

 Knife day at El Rancho!
Today's knife is a stinker. This is my very first ever lockback
knife. I purchased it back when I was I think about 19 or 20 years old.
I bought it at the Jack Frost Surplus Store in Santa Monica, CA.
I have no idea how much I paid for it. At the time, I was pretty dang
happy with it. I thought I had myself a real "Buck" knife, like I even
knew what Buck was.

This knife has more hot spots than the main drag on Saturday night.
I have no clue what any of the materials are. It could be made of
anything. I bought the sheath for it separately as it did not come
with one. The quality of the sheath matches the knife.

It is not sharp and I have never even tried or wanted to sharpen
it. Back when I bought this lockback the thought of actually
sharpening a knife never even entered my mind.

One cannot appreciate the fit and finish of this knife
until you own a quality blade. If you never do you just
might never know that it is better than this.

Anyway.
I have a few other stinkers that I will post in the future.
They were all learning experiences and fun to have if for
nothing more than the memories they bring.

~ Flag Day, 2021 ~
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

I bought some Cheez-It Snack Crackers and so lucky
for me they have special Scooby-Doo images on them!
AND! On the back of the box is a project that the entire family
will enjoy! Carefully cutting out the image on the back of
the box (with your parents guidance of course)
and adding a little glue will yield...

...this awesome box that is the spittin' image of the gang's
Mystery Machine van! Holy cow! And if that isn't enough,
when the top is opened you are able to fill it with a handful
of those delicious Cheez-It Snack Crackers to carry
all around! A Munchie Mover!

What a fun day!

I've seen this movie at Walmart for quite a long
time now. I've watched it priced from (I think) $9.99
then to (I believe) $7.50 and then (pretty sure) $5.00
until today when it came to $3.74.

What hooked me was the line in the summary that
reads "un-earthed and donated to a museum in the heart
of the woods."  A museum in the heart of the woods?
Yeah, that sounds cool.

The movie is probably not good.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

....later

I watched it.
Yes, it was not good. For one thing, it was NOT a "museum
in the heart of the woods." In the countryside maybe, but
NOT in the woods. AND they never said that the story took
place in the UK. I was not ready for that.

Anyway, I am going to give "The Jack in the Box" 3.2 "Museums
Definitely Not in the Heart of the Woods". I would not
buy this movie for $1.00.

The .2 is for the music which at times was pretty effective.

Next!

It is June 1st of 2021 and my new Lodge 6.5 inch
skillet has been seasoned...

...and it is looking and working GREAT.

Unfortunately the first batch of bacon that I
fried up in it looked sickly. The bacon was
okay, but looked AWFUL. I cannot bring
myself to post that photo.
