I hadn't been to Toys "R" Us for about two and a half months
so I decided to go by there and see if they had anything fun in
the action figure area.

Funky teeth are fun but they are not action figures and I
realized that if I really wanted teeth like these, I could have
them for free, so I passed.

But I did find sooooommmmeeethiiiiinnnngggg. We will
have to wait until I get home to see what it is!

We're Home!
As it turns out, Toys "R" Us was having a "Green Tag"
sale. Lot's of good deals. I have been looking for this Hasbro
Darth Vader usually selling for $9.99 to $15.95. I got him
for $6.99. Semi-Score!

I also got the Neca Survival John Rambo figure. I was not
originally going to buy him. He is not a fantastic sculpt and
I wasn't going to pay the going price of $16.99, but I
got him for $6.80. Score!

And here is something that I was not going to put out the usual asking
price of $29.99 for. But today, Green Tagged, this Neca Prometheus
Trilobite VS. Battle Damaged Engineer was.... $7.99. Score!

All these figures for a grand total of $23.52.
Rock and roll. I'm good with it.

The Trilobite VS. Engineer will look good
with the rest of these guys.

It was a fun day for an action figure nerd.

Wow. The other day I see a Disney's Hitchhiking Ghosts
decal on the back of a car, and today I see this one.
Life. So good.

We're baking here at El Rancho De La Tex today.
We saw up to 107 degrees. Everybody is sunning...

...from the cactus,

...to the wildlife. Wildlife. Heh heh.

~ The Pig Bros in Pig Joke Three ~

A total impulse buy while in line at FYE.
When I got home I was like, why?
I like it, but didn't need it.

Not an impulse buy. Everybody should have fire.
This stays in my purse.

I saw these decals as I was driving by and had to go back
around to get a picture of them. I'm pretty sure you know
who these guys are. They are the world famous Hitchhiking
Ghosts from Disney's Haunted Mansion ride.

On the left is the Skeleton Ghost, in the middle is the Traveler
Ghost, and on the right is the Prisoner Ghost. Their unofficial
names are Ezra, Phineas and Gus, respectively. I say unofficial
because apparently Disney did not give them names. But over
the years Disney Cast members did, and
they have unofficially stuck.

Just a couple of pictures I took today.

Back at the new Walmart. In the CD section. Will
you look at that guy on the TV? Faaaaa-LIP! Holy
cow. If that happened to me just one time, I'm in
traction for life.

While there I found a pretty good deal. The Amazing
Spider-Man Exclusive Movie Gift Set. It includes the
Blu-ray & DVD combo pack, a Limited Edition Mask
DVD case, and a bonus DVD titled, "Enter The Lizard".

Hmmmmmm. Enter the lizard. Not sure I am down with
entering a lizard. But for $9.96 I'll give it a go. I saw this
movie in the theater and was not in love with it, but if the price
came down, I was going to get it. Price came down.

Driving along on my way home...

...I come to a stop sign that makes me think I might need
to wear my glasses while driving. HA HA HA!

I jest.

One more for today. Whenever I pass by this home's stairs,
I'm thinkin' that Norman Bates should be standing at the
top of them. Right?

==========================================

..a few days later.

I got the time and opened the Amazing Spider-Man Blu-ray.
This is good deal. And if you really love this movie,
it's a really good deal.

Here is my WALL-E Pez candy dispenser. WALL-E is of
course the adorable little robot from Disney's 2008 movie of
the same name. Pez are little pieces of candy that one loads
into a dispenser (such as the WALL-E dispenser above) to
pop out one at a time. Pez dispensers come with hundreds of
different character heads. This dispenser is about 5 inches tall.

They also come in extree giant sizes like my Mickey Mouse.
And this one plays music. I don't have a clue what song(s) it
plays as I have never opened it. This dispenser was made in
about 2006. Twas a gift.

I decided like I do every once in a while to sit outside
on El Rancho De La Tex and make a little soup or
something while enjoying the night air.

Tonight I decided to heat up a little hot chocolate. All
was good, but...

...as soon as I lit the lantern, huge red ants decided to
start crawling around my area of enjoyment about five at
a time. They kept me hopping. The drink was good though.

~ Another short video, a moving postcard of sorts. ~

(That's a much appreciated Easter basket that a
business associate put together for me. Awesome.)

Another kinda hazy kinda cloudy kinda chilly
day here at El Rancho De La Tex...

...Maybe that is why these guys are acting like they
have a sti... er, wait... They do.

Heh heh... This here post is chock-full 'o cornball fun!
(Those fellers are waiting to go to the swap meet.)

So this must be the "hill of beans" I've
heard tell about purt near all my life.

Right now, 12:06 AM PST, Blood Moon.
(My moon pictures are bad enough, but Blogger does
something weird to them when I upload. They get totally
grainy and bad.)

Here he comes!

What are the odds he makes a U-turn anyway?
Bet big, you're going to win.

This gas pump informs me that Jimmy Kimmel has a hard
time keeping up with his pregnant wife's new diet.

I pass by these rocks all the time and they remind me of
something. I can't put my finger on it, but when I do figure
it out... Wait... like you care. Never mind.

How does a guy end up with a stuffed Garfield behind
his head? And how did Garfield end up with a white
body that says "Hop to it!" on it.

Me thinks thar be black magic afoot.

Friday, April 11, 2014

My back is aching just lookin' at 'em.
Not a fan of the black ones, I but I do like the orange.

"Attention shoppers,
Our shopping carts will lock if taken beyond our
parking lot boundary. The boundary is marked by
a series of special yellow lines."

I don't believe it.

Hollywood could do a better lock-up mock-up. However,
I was too lazy to walk way out yonder to the yellow line and
put it to the test.

Shamone!

Looking up at the North and Southbound lanes of the I-15 freeway
heading towards San Diego or Los Angeles, California, depending
on which direction your ponies are running.

Looking down, underneath them, you see an area that is a notorious
dumping ground for sofas, mattresses, just anything and everything
that people do not need anymore and want to unload illegally. Today
there is nothing here. That's nice.

Another nice, yet kind of creepy thing. Last night I looked down to see
this caterpillar crawling across my flyswatter. He must know that a
flyswatter is for flies. Or maybe... maybe he was a fly in caterpillar's
clothing. That would be messed up.

Arrrg... Feast yer eyes upon me booty ya heathen swabs.

Because I went to the dentist today and received a clean bill
of health. Hoo-rah! That makes three in a row. Which is good,
and not expensive.

After the dentist I headed over to Best Buy because today is the
day that "Paranormal 5: The Marked Ones" was released to DVD and
Blu-ray. Does the 85 degree day not look beautiful?

The Paranormal Activity Borden Tradition continues. I also picked
up a CD that I have been wanting for a while, Joan Jett and the
Blackhearts Greatest Hits. Great stuff. All in all it's been a good
day so far.

~ Rest In Peace Mickey Rooney ~
~  September 23rd, 1920 - April 6th, 2014 ~
The above photo is of some of my Mickey Rooney movie collection.
Mickey Rooney has given me so many laughs during my entire life.
I love Andy Hardy and the movies he made with Judy Garland. His
passing has really upset me. You knew it was coming. He was older.
But now that it has happened, well.... Going to miss him very much.
Time to watch one of his movies. I think "Girl Crazy" would be good.
That one always has me rolling.

Condolences to his family and all of us fans.
