Ever since I read on the Internet about folks playing the game
Farkle, I've wanted to try it. So for my birthday, I bought it.
I have not played it yet. The game in back there is pretty dang fun.
Pass the Pigs. I have played that a lot over the years. Oink.

~ We the People ~
This is a lapel pin that I bought or the National Rifle Association
sent to me, must be twenty-five to thirty years ago. It is just
smaller than a quarter and I don't know what it is made of.
It's not the lightest weight pin that I have.

The back of the pin. Like many others.
I think there are a lot of these pins
floating around out there.

With this here kit from Hobby Lobby you can make
the WILDEST holster in the WEST by cracky! I didn't see
how much it cost, but for a complete amateur like myself
it might be fun to try, just................. fer fun.

But I ain't gonna.

(At the time of this post the holster kit is running
$44.02 on Amazon.com.)

I love this Gorilla brand glue gun that I bought for
my birthday in January. It works great.
(This is the larger sized glue gun.)

I had also purchased this cheapish container for nails and such
and it comes with adjustable/removable partitions. They do not
keep the nails or whatever from slipping under the little walls
into other compartments and everything gets jumbled around
and mixed together.

Soooooooo... I took my glue gun and glued down the partitions
into the configuration I wanted and like magic, PRESTO CHANGO,
everything stays in it's own little home.

That's just one little chore my glue gun has assisted me with.

Life is chock-full of wonders!

Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 at the Hollywood Bowl
on July 25th 1969. What a great concert and what
a beautiful warm summer night that was.

In keeping with yesterday's theme, this was another item that
was in my beloved stepfather's office belongings. As I have written
before he was a retired Marine and the Marines were a HUGE
part of his life, which pretty much made the Marines (happily) a big
part of our lives.

This is a paperweight he had on his desk. It is HEAVY. I'm guessing
a couple of pounds. It measures 3 x 3.5 inches. I think it may have
had some sort of plaque on the front that fell off.

Anyway, I put this aside and it sits on my shelf.

Knife Day at el Rancho De La Tex!
My mom and I were going through some items that my beloved stepfather
kept in his office while he was alive. This throwing knife was in with it all.

This is a Black Mamba throwing knife and this is unfortunately the
best picture I was able to get. The knife is made of black carbon steel.
Overall the knife is 9 and 1/8 inches. The unsharpened blade
length is 5 and 1/8 inches.

The knife was produced by Edge Brand and was made in
Solingen, Germany. From what I can find it was made in the 1970's.
Stamped 402.

The sheath is original to the knife and is stamped GERMANY. As you can
see, the back of the sheath is unfinished. Anyway, I really cherish this knife
because of where it came from and I will take good care of it.

Oh, and I ain't never gonna throw it.

Finally. Tonight is the night.
This is the first SCREAM movie that I have not
been able for one reason or another to see in the
theater. So I have been waiting for this to be
released. I am pretty excited to see it.
