This sign was taped to the wall over the toilet of an outlet store restroom I was using. Somebody had corrected the spelling of the word "handel" and I could not resist adding my "LOL".

And I no I'm not the spelling and grammar queen,
but you have to get your fun where you can.
Mi vida loca.

Oh, c'mon now.
You can't be all that comfortable.
I took this picture in front of a house I used to live in.
He wasn't there when I was there.

Son of a gun! Looky here!
It's good ol' Buffalo Bill's! In Julian California!
Serving breakfast and lunch!
Daily!

Here's a place I would rather be on this 89 degree day. I would rather be floating along in this reflecting pool. It is located in front of the Botanical Building in San Diego California's Balboa Park. The Botanical Building was built for the 1915 Panama California Exposition. Anyway, I would sure like to be in that water just lazing about with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

But I don't smoke, drink or own a "Float Along In The Reflecting Pool" pass, so I will fantasize.
(And I am not anti-smoke or drink at all, I just don't smoke or drink.)

"Real rewards await those who choose wisely."
At least, that's what it says in the
Indiana Jones Adventure
ride queue at Disneyland in Anaheim California.

Happy National Day Of The Cowboy!
July 23rd is National Day Of The Cowboy. NDOTC is dedicated to (from the website) "preservation of America's Cowboy heritage so that the history and culture which the United States Congress's National Day of the Cowboy resolution honors, can be shared and perpetuated for the public good, through education, the arts, celebrations, gatherings, rodeos, and community activities."

In honor of NDOTC I have a photo of one of my hats, this one a Resistol. And I don't recommend storing your hats like this. This was a very temporary arrangement. And what says c-o-w-b-o-y more than six foot tall of out of control cactus growth. So the photo below my hat shows just that, from my backyard some years ago.

How about a not good upside down picture of the old Disney Channel Building in Burbank California from the driver's seat of my car as I was passing under it on the freeway?

This is my Mezco Cinema of Fear 13 inch Leatherface
plush from the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2.
Is he not lovely?
(That is a zip-tie around his waist holding him onto his doll stand.)

When I went to the Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage (which is what it will always be to me no matter what they change the name to) in Griffith Park California in August of 2010, they had one of Michael Jackson's gloves on display. I left the photo I took pretty large so the description could be read when the image above is clicked on.

I took this picture on the 101 freeway as we drove by the Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California. And no, those cars are not parked, it's "rush hour". "Rush hour" used to be when people got off of work. But "rush hour" seems to be perpetual anymore.

It's not a very good picture, but I like these hills around Lake Elsinore, California.
To me they look like a painting. I took this photo today as I was driving by.

Here's a view of the hills of Calabasas/Agoura California from a Shell gas station off the Ventura (101) freeway. If those mountains look familiar, it might be because among other things they were the exterior location for the television show MASH.

This gas station is one of my restroom stops on my way from here to there.

Everybody... SAL-SAAAA!
Hey, I have no idea. But it looks kind of nuclear,
in a Lost In Space sort of way.

Yes, they are not the oh so sexy columns on one of the
many patios of mi Estate De Grandes. Nope.

The taillight tells me that I am only in line for an IN-N-OUT Burger.

With the warm weather comes fire season and the dreaded brush fires. This one yesterday was fortunately knocked down in just a few hours with the help of water dropping helicopters, spotting planes and ground crews. A car fire was the cause.

Fires suck.

Happy Birthday America.
I took this picture quite a few years ago at a radio controlled airplane show in Ventura, California.

Ice.... Cold... Coca-Cola.
Does this not look good. And even if it didn't not look good, well... No matter.
It's actually Diet Coke, as I am a Diet Coke freak, as in... I must have it daily.
