Down in town the sunset of this day has me looking forward to...

...Friday when IRON MAN 3 opens. I won a ticket at work to see
IRON MAN when it came out. And then against all odds I won a
ticket at work to see IRON MAN 2 when it came out. And believe
me, if I won a a ticket at work to see IRON MAN 3, it would be a real
miracle because they don't do things like that for us anymore.

Pictured above is my Marvel Iron Man 3 Titan Hero Series Avengers
Initiative Classic Series Iron Man Figure. Quick! Say that fast! Okay...
*deep breath* Marvelironman3titanheroseriesavengersinitiativeclassic-
seriesironmanfigure. That's right, I DID IT. It's my birthday! It's my birthday!
Woop woop!

Wo, I almost forgot to mention why I am so excited to see IM3.
Four words: Robert Freakin Downey Jr. You  are now
in the know.

If you were the band, would you have used this for your
CD cover? Yeah, me neither.

Sunday, April 28, 2013

You're going to be so bored with me.

Because of where I went again today.

And what I ate again while I was there.

I've been very lucky to have been able to eat my all-time
favorite food quite a bit lately. I imagine that will
come to an end at any time for one reason or another.

Here is a street I pass by every once in a while.
Disney Lane. I wonder what the story behind it is.
In this area the folks who first lived here were
occasionally able to name their own roads.

"Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?"
A snake in the queue of the "Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of
the Forbidden Eye" ride at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
My son took this picture.

I passed by these awesome rocks today...

...to get to this place (Best Buy)...

...to buy this (Rob Zombie's Venomous Rat Regeneration
Vendor)...

... and then to this place (Fry's Electronics)...

...to buy this (Victorinox Classic Tiger Stripe Pattern knife).

Actually, I went to Fry's to pick up some more compressed air,
but I found the knife (and I need another knife to be certain) and
also the double feature Blu-ray of "Elizabeth" and "Elizabeth: The
Golden Age" on sale so there ya go.

Na na na na, na na na na.
Hey hey hey, a belated Easter bunny present.

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

I think that there cow is ready to go to work.

Monday, April 22, 2013

Please forgive me, but...

...by the looks of the weather from this Kmart parking lot,
it's another beautiful day just perfect for...

...PIZZA!

Choo Choo! Here comes the pizza train!

Sometimes when I am sitting at my computer late at night
I revisit my pizza posts, just to fantasize.

Sunday, April 21, 2013

I was at the mall and I did not eat at Panda Express even though
I didn't not want to. I didn't because I had Sbarro's Pizza. I just avoid
talking about it because I still can't pronounce it.

But I did go to the Target store were I took this lousy
picture with my (again) beloved iPod.

And I did get a good price on the new Total Recall movie that I've
been wanting to see and I got a great price on The Very Best of
The Eagles CD. Every song a hit on that one. You forget just how
many hits they have had until you go through them.

"MARINE WIFE. Toughest job in the corps."
I don't doubt it. Spotted on a car today.

Friday, April 19, 2013

Another of my cherished friends.

Thursday, April 18, 2013

I don't like any of that stuff. Never been keen on shrimp
and anchovies are just too dern salty.

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Tuesday was kind of a cloudy day as seen from our
Walmart parking lot.

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

I went to the movies again last night.

I really wanted to see the new Evil Dead remake and last night
was the only chance I would have to go for a while, I think. So
I went. My ticket is pictured above along with one of my NECA Evil
Dead 2 figures. This one is Hero Ash. The remake was okay. If you
go to see it, stay through the credits.

And of course I oinked out on popcorn. Last night was a rare if not
a totally one time occurrence for me. I was at the theater when three
movies I had seen were all playing. Oz The Great and Powerful, the
waste of space Olympus Has Fallen and now Evil Dead. And there are
still quite a few movies coming up that I want to see, and if I am lucky,
I will.

"Cinema 6" photo was taken with my lousy flip phone. The Snack Bar photo
was taken with my (again) beloved iPod which takes lousy pictures.

Thursday, April 11, 2013

Yesterday I wrote that I had gone to the hardware store to buy
a hex wrench for a new knife that I bought. The knife is a KA-BAR
Becker BK2.

This is kind of a poor person's heavy duty knife. There are people that
swear by the Becker BK line and think they are the best thing since
sliced bread. Then there are those that never eat bread, sliced or otherwise.
The jury is still out with me. I need to work on the edge a bit. The sheath
was so tight that I had to put the dang thing between my feet and pull with
two hands to get it out. I fixed that problem by leaving the knife half in
and half out of the sheath for about 24 hours. The hex wrench is to tighten
the grip panels. I think I will do as suggested and Loctite Blue them. I'm not
posting the specs as they can be found all over the net.

If the story is true, this is why KA-BAR brand is called... KA-BAR. A long
time ago a fur trapper wrote a testimonial to the company. It was written in very
rough English. He had written that when his firearm failed him, he turned to his
knife to "kill a bar" that was wounded and attacking him. But the way he had
written it, it looked like "ka bar". And there ya go. The company had a name.

I would've been waiting for that guy back in the car. I ain't a bear person.

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

I don't go to hardware stores very often, but when I do I find them
fascinating. There's so much cool stuff that you don't see in a lot
of other stores. I went there today to find a hex wrench for a new
knife I bought. I'm going to post a photo of that knife here shortly.

When I do go to the hardware store I usually buy a little cactus or
succulent to have inside our house beneath our kitchen window.
I have quite a few of them that I have purchased over the years.
I can actually find a lot of them growing wild around here, but I
seldom take them out of the ground or take cuttings. Today I bought
this awesome aloe succulent. I can't wait to watch it grow.

~ Richard Brooker, 1954 - 2013 ~
Richard Brooker played Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part 3D.
He was my all time favorite Jason by far. And Mr. Brooker was the
first Jason to wear the iconic hockey Mask.
Rest in Peace Richard Brooker.

Picture above are my copies of F13 3D on DVD and Blu-ray. Also
pictured is my NECA Series 2 Jason Voorhees 7" Figure.

~ Annette Funicello, 1942 - 2013 ~
Annette Funicello was a part of my life growing up. There is much
I could write here, too much, so I will leave it at
Rest in Peace, Annette.

I posted this picture on February 10, 2013. I had
written, "Think of it as art."

I took this picture tonight, now two months later.
I think we can think of it as litter now.

I'm not sure what that thing way up on the mountain is.

Thursday, April 4, 2013

I'm a member of the Regal Crown Club and had earned a
free movie ticket. It was set to expire soon so I used it tonight.
There was absolutely nothing that I wanted to see so I just kind of
had to choose what I thought might be the lesser of all evils.

I went to see "Olympus Has Fallen". If your idea of a good "action
movie" involves seeing the White House destroyed, the Washington
Monument fall in a very Twin Tower like fashion and seeing an
older woman being brutally beaten by a terrorist in an effort to extract
a secret code from her, then this is your movie.

I cannot recommend this movie even slightly. It is a waste of space IMHO.
All I liked about the movie (however unredeemable) was Robert Forster
looking pretty darn sexy and Gerard Butler because I don't know why, I just
seem to like him.

But hey, I did score this G.I. Joe Retaliation poster. Another movie I have
no interest in, but I like movie posters. This was the first time in a while
that they have been handing posters out.

Now that I look at her, she does look a little
more oinkish than skullish.

Don't you just love See's Candies? See's Candies was founded in 1921
in Los Angeles, California by Charles See, his wife Florence and his
mother, Mary. They make many types of chocolate candies for all
occasions. The simple black and white motif of the See's stores
was an effort to resemble Mary See's own home kitchen.

I grew up going to See's in California. When you go into a See's store,
they always offer a free chocolate to sample. Today I was given a chocolate
truffle with walnut. I made that piece last about five bites. It was very
good. My reason for stopping in today was to pick up a belated Easter gift.
Above is the box of milk chocolates I purchased and my sample which you
can see I had taken a first bite of.

No fishing, no swimming, just play with the freakin' ducks.
