I added a Lodge skillet to my collection. I have been wanting

a 6.5 inch pan for a long time. Nobody seems to carry them

anymore. But after about five months of (pretty casual) hunting,

patience won out and I was finally able to find one "in the wild".

I can't wait to play with it.

P.S. The Chef Collection 8 inch skillet that I wrote about on Tuesday,

March 23 of this year has been seasoned and is working like a dream.

1946 - 2021

Until today I thought that pizza was the only place where
pineapple did not belong. Now I know of two places.

"Us" came a'way down in price. I've been wanting to see it, but

not for anything over $7.00. I bought it at Walmart for $5.96.

TOTALLY worth $5.96. This movie was FUN. This is one that will

be GREAT to visit from time to time. No spoilers. I rate this movie 8.9

out of 10 Pairs of Scissors.

Keep your eye out for Shahadi Wright Joseph
who absolutely NAILS her part in this movie.

I bought this Master Lock Combination lock at a thrift store

recently. I paid $2.00 for it new in the package. I have it on my

computer desk and I am going to unlock and lock it every day so

when the time comes that I need to use it, there will be no way

that I will forget the combination. Am I a genius or what?

A few years ago I found this "Walt Disney's It's a Small World

Holiday 1994 Plate" at a thrift store for $4.00. I thought I found

a really great deal and although it is a nice item, it only really sells

for about $20.00 or so in the same condition.

So... nice, but no cigar.

 
Seeing as how I have been out in the workforce during

this period of Covid, my son thought of me when he saw

this brass Key Smart tool. It is used to open doors and for

computer touch screens and the like. I don't really use it

for that, but it will always be on my keychain because one: it

was from my son and two: it is a cool hunk of brass.

And just recently I saw a cool item on an Internet forum and

searched one down for myself. I found it on Amazon.com. This

is a "RDEXP Solid Brass U Hook Key Chain Belt Wallet Clip

Holder". I like it because one: it is functional and two: it is a cool

hunk of brass.

I love things that get better with age
and these two items are that.

05/11/21 Correction: The Key Smart tool is actually
60% COPPER (not brass) and 40% alloy. My
error. It will still age beautifully.

I was sitting in my car for a few minutes after work and

Mark Levin on AM radio started playing the National Anthem

(as he always does). So I turned the volume up and pointed my

phone at our flagpole.

Beautiful as always.
