I added yet another movie to my small but glorious
Jason Statham collection. I cannot believe these great
and fun movies are for the most part in the $3.74 bin
at Walmart. This is "Killer Elite". Once again my Jason
is a bad-ass guy. This time he is a retired hit man. You
do get to see him in hit mannish action and a bit of why
he decided to retire. This is another movie that did not
disappoint. No spoilers here.

Here is Jason with his suppressed Beretta Model 92SB
chambered in 9x19mm. He puts this gun to good use. I am
going to rate this movie seven out of ten Video Taped
Confessions.

Oh... I forgot to say that Robert De Niro is in this movie.
He is okay. He doesn't do a WHOLE lot. One good
scene where he kicks butt.

Family Guy's The Giant Chicken vs. Peter. A Mezco figure
that depicts a running joke of sorts on the television show.
I bought this figure seven or eight years ago. I wish I could
set it up as the stand is cool, but it would require more room
than I have.

This is Trails West at the Autry Museum in Griffith Park, California.
I have shown pictures of Trails West before, but I am showing this one
today because The Autry has made some unfortunate changes to TW.

This is "Trails West" today. It is now a place for cool people to
sit and read about plant life and yoga and finding yourself.
The Autry has asked me to reserve judgement until I visit,
but I don't have to. These pictures are of a garden that I can
visit in any backyard in Brentwood. Beloved Trails West, gone.

Knife Day at El Rancho De La Tex!
This is the Kershaw Scallion knife designed by Ken Onion.
I bought this knife in 2009.

The steel is 420HC. Overall length is 5.75 inches with a 2.4 inch
bead-blasted blade. The closed length is 3.5 inches. The pocket clip
is in the position pictured and that position only.

This knife has what they call their "SpeedSafe" assisted open.
Basically that means that you flip the blade open just a wee bit and
then the knife takes over and whips the blade out. There is also what
they call their "Tip-Lock" which is a little sliding button that
will keep the blade from flipping open on it's own. This is pretty
much why I stopped carrying it. Disengaging the Tip-Lock was
a pain in the butt. But I didn't want to carry it without the Tip-Lock
engaged for fear that the knife would open up in my pocket or
purse and would poke me when I reached for it. I just didn't care for it.

Kind of like carrying Condition One. Not my fav thing.

It also has a frame lock and frame locks mess with my nails (as I
have written before). So anyway, it is a nice little knife, just not
for me. It has traditionally been given rave reviews by most users.

Another pleasant little sitting

What is the difference between a barbecued pig and a pig barbecue?
I believe the saying goes: A picture is worth one thousand words.

Oh my GOSH!

They killed Brian Griffin!

About two years ago I had posted a photo of some NASA Space
Mission patches that had come my way one way or another. This
Space Shuttle patch was my favorite as I loved the shuttle.

Around the same time I received the patches a family member gave
this ERTL brand die-cast shuttle to me. This is the Colombia. It launched
for the first time on mission STS-1 on April 12, 1981. Unfortunately, on
February 1, 2003, the Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrated over
Tyler Texas during reentry, killing all seven crew members:

~ Rest In Peace ~

 Rick D. Husband
William C. McCool
Michael P. Anderson
Kalpana Chawla
David M. Brown
Laurel Clark
Ilan Ramon

Here is ERTL's Colombia with it's payload bay doors open.

This die-cast vehicle is pretty heavy. It also
has retractable landing gear.

The main engines on the shuttles are huge
and incredible. Here they are on the ERTL.
This is a great toy or model or whatever it is.

Another "Late Night" Del Taco coupon. I just love late night
stuff. Something happened to me before I was born or when
I was very little to make me happier at night. That is what I think.

Walmart is gearing up (or HAS geared up) for America's
Birthday. Some slightly garish stuff in there, but c'mon,
it is our birthday.

It is almost time to fly our flags (if we don't fly them all year
round already), break out the cold chicken and hot dogs, put
our hands over our hearts and give thanks that we live in
the greatest country in the world.

My mom brought home this bag of beans. Some guy who grows
them gave it to her. He says, "Just don't plant the broken ones.
They're no good." Pretty colorful. Anyway, busy morning.
One of our cows is missing and I have go to find her.

I bought this incense burner at Spencer's Gifts when I
went to the mall. I've been using it about two months and
so far it works fantastic. I burn at least one cone a day.

I love my brass incense burner. I've posted pictures of that
before, but it is fun to change things up every once in a
while. Finding an incense burner that works well has not
been that easy. I bought two little brass dome burners
(two different sizes) that are found just about everywhere
and the incense goes out almost as soon as you put the
dome on top.

Anyway, this burner was $10 and I think it is a great deal.
It seems to just get better the more you use it.

"Show me again, Grandfather, And
I will finish what you started."

"We'll see each other again. I believe that.
Thank you, my friend."

On top is my Disney Store Elite Series Die-Cast 6 inch
"The Force Awakens" figure of Kylo Ren. Below is
Ren and BB-8. I picked these figures up about a month
ago for $9.99 each. I had taken pictures of them at that
time, but I just can't seem to get very good ones.

Kylo Ren and his temper are just so fun to watch.

Rey's face is not all that, but still a good figure I think.
For the price, I think they both are great to have.

Here is a hat that a family friend gave to my son
when he was born. I have pictures of him in this
hat when he was very little. He would have to
be little of course because this is a kid sized hat.

It is still in pretty good shape for being as old as
it is. Yes, it is semi-old.

Made by Eddy Bros, I'm pretty sure it is 100% Wool
Felt. These days Eddy Bros makes a hat very similar
to this one called "Woody" styled after Woody's hat
from the movie "Toy Story". The hatband is different.
My son's hat does not seem to be offered these days.

Never, EVER watch this movie. No matter what anybody
tells you. Do NOT EVER watch Automaton Transfusion.

Everything on that cover is a lie. The whole MOVIE
is a lie. The only thing that this movie is deserving of
is this advice: Do not EVER watch this movie.

Always a good sign.

I see this all the time and I still cannot figure
out if that is a chicken on there.

Thursday, June 1, 2017

Okay, sorry you guys, but I have another movie. This movie has
got to become a Disney Classic. Disney's live-action "Beauty and
the Beast". I had every intention of seeing this in the theater but
was unable to. I bought the Blu-ray and was finally able to see it and...
SO good. Beautiful. The ballroom scene, Belle's golden dress.
Gaston (you DOG!).

Belle has always been my favorite Disney Princess. I think Emma
Watson did a great job. The Beast was wonderful as well. I am going
to rate this movie 10 out of 10 Odd Girls. Maybe that is a little high, but
I'm going with it.

The animated Beauty and the Beast was the second movie we ever took
my son to see when he was little, so there is a little nostalgia in
there for me as well.
