I like to take photographs. Some may be interesting, some may be
boring and some may be downright terrible. All of them will
enlarge to the size I intended when right
clicked on and "Open link in a new tab". It's all about fun and good times. Savvy?
Mobile users may have to click on "View Web Version" a'way down below to see all of my content.
Please excuse my grammar, etc.

This is the Tea Pavilion located in the Japanese Friendship Garden
in Balboa Park, California. A nice little shady spot to take a break from
your park visit to enjoy some "Japanese green tea, herbal and specialty
teas as well as sushi, Japanese noodles, rice bowls, miso soup, salads
and snacks." I will pass on the sushi, but you can bring me some of that
thar miso soup and salad. (All I really bought here was some
orange juice... to go.)

!! Sunday Toofer !!
I was sitting at my computer table removing my nail polish when
I saw a cotton ball sitting next to one of my skulls....
In other news... I bought this cool souvenir pirate pewter pin at
the Pieces of Eight store at the exit to Pirates of the Caribbean in
Disneyland in 1994. (I keep trying to shorten that sentence with
no success.) I love that store.
It was $4.00 in 1994. I wonder what that would be today.
$10.00? I dunno.

Sam Raimi's (director of Evil Dead II, The Quick and the Dead, Drag
Me To Hell, Army of Darkness and others) latest effort is "Oz The Great
and Powerful" and I went to see the movie in IMAX 3D. People all over
the Internet are "ripping this movie a new one", but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
It was pretty intense at times and I myself cannot see bringing any child
under the age of about 11 to see it. It would have scared the Hell outta me
if I had seen it as a youngster. James Franco was good, the Wicked Witch
of the West was SCARY and the little China Girl was too adorable.
Must. have. China. Girl. doll or figure. Anyway... 3D glasses, tickets and
the theater from tonight are pictured above. Rock on.

Walmart's system is terrible. You take one DVD off the top and
four fall on the floor. You pick up the four to put back into the
bin and two more fall to the floor. Pick those two up and somebody
on the opposite side of the bin touches one and yet another DVD falls
off on the side that you are on. I just don't have the energy anymore
which is a shame because I could be missing out on some bargains.

Some years ago my son gave this skeleton hand glass to me
for Christmas. I bought a faux rose for it and I also put some flowers
that somebody had given me into it. Another something that I just
happen to see every once in a while and enjoy.
We need to dust up there.
I'm pretty sure I broke every grammar rule in history in this
single post. But I'm not literate enough to know fer sure.

I broke down and bought the movie "Sinister". Some say it is truly
lousy and some say it scared the heck outta them. I will find out
for myself which one it is. I really want to see a good scary movie
over a big bowl of popcorn.
In other news... This slipcover for this DVD had stickers all over it.
Some folks say that totally ruins the covers via residue etc. The answer
is a product called "Goo Gone" (pictured above). With Goo Gone the
issue is nonexistent. A little drop here and there, sit for a short time
and wipe off all stickers and residue with ease. Some folks don't
believe it, but it has worked for me for years. Saved many a DVD and
Blu-ray covers. Magic be afoot says I.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that night....
I watched Sinister. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. It was okay.
Worth a watch. Scared me in parts. Not my favorite type of scares,
but it scared me. And no residue left on the DVD's slipcover thanks
to the Goo Gone.

Do you know what's really irritating? No? Well I'm gonna tell ya.
You spot a movie that you've been looking for forever. You look down
and see a really inexpensive price marker. You pick the DVD up only to
realize in short order that somebody has put it in the danged wrong slot after
looking at it. Wrong slot, wrong price. That, is irritating. Believe me, in
this picture I took at Walmart, this activity is running rampant.

I took this picture in Ojai, California. I did it with my old
Samsung camera. One of the features of the camera is that
you can superimpose (if that's the right word) a few things
on it, like these fish. Just a strange thing for a camera to do.
I mean, how many pictures is a person going to take where
they are thinkin, "Gee, I think my family would look
better in a fish tank." Weird.
better in a fish tank." Weird.

This horned figure is from the movie "Hostel". When I bought him the girl
behind the counter said, "Eew! You're buying THIS?!" I said, "Uh... yes."
This was quite a long time ago and I opened him up for display. I saw another
one when out and about one day (I posted a picture of it here) and bought it for
almost a pretty penny because I liked the first one so much and I wanted to have
one unopened. I discovered I paid too much though as it is worth nothing to
collectors. But that's okay because I like it.
