Those pesky spiders just LOVE to live
behind the side-view mirrors on our car.

And now? They are starting to love it INSIDE
as well. They are pushing their luck.

Bless our Home.
And bless your home as well.
Happy December!

Happy Thanksgiving 2025 from Lizzy Tex Borden
and all of your friends at El Rancho De La Tex.

Thursday, November 20, 2025

I am not one of those who appreciate
the sun going down so early.

Monday, November 17, 2025

My much loved and creative sister-in-law made this
little angel baby soap as a gift for my mom.

~ Veterans Day 2025 ~
Thank you, Veterans.

Thursday, November 6, 2025

A better look at my Mezco Cinema of
 Fear Michael Myers plush.

Could you ask for a more beautiful day to
exercise your right to vote?

I voted.
And I hope you voted as well.

Saturday, November 1, 2025

It the first glorious day of November and what better time
than today for a picture of a moose. A moose that "ejects"
jelly beans when you lift his tail. I think he is very cute
in spite of that rather unsavory detail.

Happy Halloween 2025 from Lizzy Tex Borden
and all of your friends at El Rancho De La Tex!

When the sun goes down, we at The Ranch we will
be feasting on hot dogs, beans and whatever else suits our
fancies. Shortly thereafter we will light the jack-o'-lantern
candle, dim the lights and gather 'round the screen for a
showing of SAW X. We've been saving this one for
just the right time and tonight is it.

Whatever it is that YOU ghouls and ghoulettes have
planned, scare the wits out of each other safely
and have fun my friends!

Thursday, October 30, 2025

What a cute little cat bat, or bat cat.
Not sure which. But he is cute.

And you gotta collect 'em all. But
I would do it on Saturday when I bet
they will be 50 percent or more off.

I am partial to Jason Duck of course.

This SPOOKTOBER at The Ranch has been a pretty
mellow one. I mean... plushies? So MANY plushies?
Let's ever so slightly attempt to balance things out
a bit and recover at least a little of my reputation.
Here are the guys again.
 I feel better now.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Monday, October 27, 2025

And here is the jack-o'-lantern that I bought
in 2007 that makes an appearance just about
every Halloween, although he didn't come
out this year. I unfortunately didn't
decorate the house for 2025.
I'm a slacker.

TRANSMISSION #101

Saturday, October 25, 2025

And now, the Skeleton Candelabra.
He looks like he could use a break.

Friday, October 24, 2025

Scarrrry.

Thursday, October 23, 2025

I bought WEAPONS on Blu-ray. They say this movie is
pretty fun. Gonna save this one for Halloween Eve or
Halloween Night. Not long to go now.

Tuesday, October 21, 2025

I went to the dentist to have sutures removed after
having had a few teeth pulled and I was greeted by a
semi-great pumpkin patch. Halloween is going kind of
soft/retro at The Ranch this year. Just kind of happening.

I gotta get some bloody slasher
action in here someplace.

Monday, October 20, 2025

Awww... It's little Wednesday's doll.

Sunday, October 19, 2025

Spirit Halloween does not mess around.
A lot of these props look TOTALLY real.

SPOOKTOBER Off-Topic Approved Post!

Yes, it is still SPOOKTOBER, but I really want to
post some pictures of this new tool I bought. These
are the Knipex Cobra XS Water Pump Pliers. This
guy is only 4" long with up to a 1" grip capacity! I can
carry this in the bottom of my bag or purse AND they
will fit perfectly in the 5th pocket of my Wranglers.

I bought these pliers to compliment my Victorinox Fieldmaster
(that I have been carrying for 4 years) Swiss Army Knife.  Not
much more I can say about this guy other than he is SUPER
strong and SUPER grippy. He is gonna come in SUPER handy.
Did I mention that he is ONLY 4" LONG?!

I have a pair of the Knipex 5" pliers that I bought
in September of 2023 and they
are fantastic as well.

Here is the box they came
in from Amazon.com.

Stay tuned for more
SPOOKTOBER 2025!

playmate of his own."

A scary chimney sweep cat.

Wednesday, October 15, 2025

Hey! Eyes up here, mister.

Tuesday, October 14, 2025

I bought "The Home" starring Pete Davidson on Blu-ray
today. Pete Davidson seems kind of like a regular guy.
And this movie looks kind of scary. I will find
out tonight when it plays at Borden Cinema.
Spooktober Movie Nights continue!

And one day this month, if all my dental stuff heals
I will be having my second Annual Spooktober Movie
and Pizza Night. Man, I am looking forward to that. I was
going to have it on the 23rd, but I have a dental appointment
around then and my mouth might not be up to it.
But it WILL happen... eventually.

Monday, October 13, 2025

I wonder how many folks want
to be Popeye for Halloween.

Hey! YOU can't be Popeye! I'M Popeye!

"I yam what I yam."

Oh no you yam not!

Ka-POW! Spinach punch!

Sunday, October 12, 2025

"Hey! Lizzy Tex! Wanna see my
Halloween costume?"

Of course, Tom. Tis the season you know.

"Okay! Just a sec!"

"Taaaa-daaaa!"

That's REMARKABLE, Tom!
I don't even recognize you!

"Thanks."

Saturday, October 11, 2025

I hung one of my 2025 Halloween souvenirs up on
the wall. Not the ideal place for the Halloween II
decorative knife, but I am running out of room.
I might come up with a better place in the future.

"Spirit of Children is a nonprofit program founded
in 2006 by Spirit Halloween. The program focuses
on donating to children's hospitals and throwing a
Halloween party for the children there."

When you donate to Spirit of Children you receive
a silicone wristband. This is the 2025 version.

TRANSMISSION #98

Thursday, October 9, 2025

He's up to something.
Watch yer back.

Wednesday, October 8, 2025

Time to visit another Spirit Halloween Store.
I still have that special item in mind to buy.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand this store also did not have
what I really wanted. BUT, I bought another item
that I thought was kind of cool. This SCREAM
movie knife. A take on the world famous BUCK
brand Model 120 (or 119, not sure
which) hunting knife.

I have no real place in mind to display it, so for now
it rests on a horror shelf in my curio cabinet. I don't
think I will get what I wanted this time around.
My Halloween horror shopping is pretty
much over for the year.

But I'm good with it as I like the
Halloween souvenirs I bought for 2025.

Tuesday, October 7, 2025

It's the Annual Spooktober Witch Day, 2025!

"Hi."

That was AWESOME.
See you next year!

Oh, and I had 3 teeth pulled today.
Here are my souvenirs.
But anyway...

Sunday, October 5, 2025

Why the disco balls, fellas?

Fellas?

No?

Okay. Never mind.

Hubba hubba!

Friday, October 3, 2025

I bought two movies at Walmart. Well technically three as
there are two movies on the one Blu-ray: The WNUF Halloween
Special and Out There Halloween Mega Tape. They are complete
blind buys. It is Spooktober and I wanted something new to
watch, so there you are.

I watched Clown in a Cornfield
last night and it was a bit of of fun. I rated it 6.1 out
of 10 Stick Shift Automobiles. But wait until
it comes to the $5.00 bin.

Fun thing to look out for on Clown: A MAD TV
personality going off the rails.

!!! BONUS PHOTOS !!!

On April 2nd of this year I had shown this cactus.
I put it in that pot and wrote that when I find
a bigger pot, I would transplant it.

Well, I found a bigger pot and transplanted it today.
I bought that skull in the Halloween section of
Walmart yesterday. I thought it would look kind
of cool with the cactus. And I didn't realize
how much that cactus had grown
in just six months.

Thursday, October 2, 2025

It is SPOOKTOBER so quite naturally I found
myself headed for the nearest Spirit Halloween
store! I had one special item in mind that I have
been waiting for months to buy when the
seasonal stores finally opened.

"So much fun it's scary" is right!
Yes. I bought something.

I didn't find what I had been wanting to buy but
I did fid something that I had passed on in
years past: a Halloween II decorative knife.
When I hang it up I will definitely
post a picture.

As for what I really wanted? There will be
another day and another Spirit. The season
has only just begun.
