~ From my August 2014 visit to the Gene Autry Museum ~
 

Another picture that was a little difficult to take due to the no flash photography
policy at The Autry. But I done my best because I LOVE this stuff. Heh heh.
This here is an ivory-handled .36 caliber 1851 Colt Navy revolver. This pistol
was one of two the famous gunman of the American West "Wild Bill" James
Butler Hickok wore in his belt. The backstrap of the pistol is engraved:
"J. B. Hickok, 1869". I was unable to get a picture of that.
