~ Wind Chimes On This Warm And Breezy Day ~
(AKA "I Have No Wind Screen")

Why do people do this?

Why do people dump such awesome furniture?
A couple of bicycle patches, some electrical tape and
a Wesson Oil rubdown and it would be like new. It's just too
bad that I'm not in the truck today. Yeah, just too bad
I'm not in the truck.

I love you my raccon.

Monday, April 27, 2015

Pazuzu at Borden Cinema.

Sunday, April 26, 2015

I hate dust in the house. Over here in the mountains I
have to dust almost every ten minutes. Look at the
dust on my computer's subwoofer. Ack. It never ends.

I took a few pictures around El Rancho De La Tex today.
This cactus, and I don't know what kind it is, is
about to bloom.

I just noticed the thorns (or spines, not sure which) on
this guy. They are intense. Some of these thorns (or spines,
not sure which) are over two inches long. Falling into this guy
would be brutal.

I didn't see this when I was taking the picture. I managed to
capture a photo of a bug hanging out on a bloom. I thought
it might be a praying mantis, but now I'm thinkin' not.

"The complexities of human pranks escape me."

A small succulent in a pot.

Spotted sprinting across the stage at Borden Cinema.

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

This is a scan of a picture of just a portion of the view
from a house that I lived in in Santa Monica, California.

On Thursday March 5th of this year Han Solo, ahem, I
mean Harrison Ford crashed his 1942 Ryan Aeronautical
ST3KR aeroplane on that golf course right on the
left hand side of this photo. Just another slice.

I bought this for a friend who is retiring.
She deserves room service forever.

Sunday, April 19, 2015

My son received another nerdy Loot Crate and the
theme this month is "Fantasy". This great blow-up
crown was one of the things inside.

Saturday, April 18, 2015

My son's rough-n-tumble cat
wants some attention.

Friday, April 17, 2015

Tie dye black top.

Whatever you do...
Don't. touch. this.

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

I hope this movie is as good as the name. I mean, you don't
hear a name like "The Babadook" every day. It says on the
cover that it freaked William "The Exorcist" Friedkin out so
there must be something good about it. On the other hand,
sometimes printing something like that on the front of a movie
cover is a very bad sign. It means the movie cannot stand on
it's own. But anyway, I've been waiting a good long time for
this one to come out and we shall see.

I also bought a set of "dog tags" from a seller on Amazon. I have
regulation Air Force dog tags that were my father's. I have purchased
dog tags at gun shows. These pieces of crap are toys. I'm a girl and I
didn't have to try hard at all to bend them in half. It's the good
ol' "you win some you lose some" thing. I will try again. Huzzah!

I just love night and to me even Carl's
Jr. is cool when it is dark out.

Monday, April 13, 2015

"Pssssssst, hey... what are they goin' on about?"
"They say they want the redhead."

Three Inch Titanium Day 2fer

First up today is my Hasbro Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter. This
guy is armed with laser cannons and proton torpedoes and will
have you screaming for your mommy.

Next up is also by Hasbro and is a Battlestar Galactica (circa 1978)
Colonial Viper. This one is piloted by Lt. Starbuck. This vehicle has three
engines that kick butt in space as well as in earth like atmospheres.

Even the Autry Museum of Western Heritage has
to deal with flies and such out on Trails West.

You guys are going to think I'm nuts, but I bought another
knife. Sure, I have more than one or two Victorinox knives,
but each one has a place to be. I just recently realized that
I need one for the box I keep in the truck, so I bought
the simple "Tinker" model. This is a good knife.

I also bought a Nite Ize Doohickey keychain tool for myself and
one for my son. Come to find out, they are pretty worthless. Pretty
much just a glorified bottle opener. Don't waste your $4.95.

I also had good dental checkup this day. I still have a wisdom tooth
that needs to come out, but no other issues. This is good and since
I was a good girl I received some souvenirs from my lovely hygienist.

Thursday, April 9, 2015

I bought another very nice knife. This is my Becker BK24.
D2 steel. Stonewashed finish. Blade length is 3 1/4" and the
overall length is 7". Lovely. The price on this knife went down
for about 8 hours. I ordered it just in the nick of time. I paid
with tax and shipping quite a bit less than it's current sale price
Winning!

I put on the second set of grip panels that I bought when I
purchased my BK14. Let's just bask in it's awesomeness.

Now let's munch!
This knife will be babied.

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

Here are some stairs that are
fixin' to be repaired soon.

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

"Community" by Jeff Lindeneau, 1990.
Maybe they are pretend building something?
I'm just not sure.

Monday, April 6, 2015

Ramon Ayala will be appearing at Casino Pauma.
Ramon is quite a departure from the last person to
grace this "billboard". That person was Vince Neil
of Motley Crue.

Sunday, April 5, 2015

We had a nice Easter dinner tonight followed by a viewing
of the 1987 version of "The Stepfather" at the Borden Cinema.
Staring Terry O'Quinn, Jill Schoelen and Shelley Hack. A movie
with a great cast and featuring some pretty darned grisly images.

When Terry O'Quinn's family doesn't turn out the "white picket fence,
great kids, beautiful wife and dog in the yard" perfect family he desires,
he offs them and finds another one to marry into. Get some popcorn
or other favorite snack and watch Terry lose his bananas before your eyes.

Saturday, April 4, 2015

From my last trip to the Gene Autry Museum in Griffith Park,
California, August 2014. This is the shotgun used by "Black Bart"
from 1875 to 1882. He used this firearm unloaded to rob 27
California stages.

He would often leave "crude" poetry behind signed, "The Po-8".
This caught the public's attention and so did a handkerchief he left
behind with a laundry mark that led police to Charles Boles in a San
Francisco boarding house. "Black Bart" eventually served 4 years
in prison. Wells Fargo exhibited this shotgun at the Chicago
World's Fair in 1893.

Friday, April 3, 2015

And now my "Die Hard" collection is complete. Many years
ago I didn't care for Bruce Willis at all. I thought he was just too
"cocky". But over the years I've come to like that about him.
He's not just cocky. He has over time shown humility.
Anyway, I've liked him for a long time now. Ta-daaaa!

Thursday, April 2, 2015

Just out and about.

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

Today I took a picture of a little
American flag on a car antenna.
