It is Star Wars Day again here at El Rancho De La Tex.

I was out doing my essential shopping today and at the

same time I picked up my very own copy of

"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker".

I saw this in the theater and for the most part I liked it, and

I cannot wait to watch it again at Borden Cinema........ tonight!

And it is a beautiful day. Warm at about

seventy-seven degrees with an awesome cool breeze.

My dog Buddy was patiently waiting for me to
give him his bath today. Coming Buddy!

So nice and clean! Good Buddy!

Who's a good boy?? Buddy's a good boy!

I made some onion soup today that

looked great but was not so good.

I made a pancake last night that

looked not so good but was great.

1942 - 2020

It's been cold, so tonight... oak.

 It is Holster and Gunbelt Day again here at

El Rancho De La Tex. Today you are looking at

a rig from the George Lawrence Company out of

Portland, Oregon. I bought this holster in about 1984.

The holster is for a Ruger Single-Six .22 caliber

pistol. The belt has loops sized for .22 LR caliber

ammunition. This is a fine fine holster.

One of the things that I like about this rig is the way

it is constructed. Very traditional. However, once again,

when I bought this leather my taste and needs had not quite

developed yet and I would not buy this style of GB & H again.

It is a Buscadero style rig with an extra long drop for the

holster. Not very practical. Just Hollywood. Not my preference.

It is okay I guess, for somebody.
 

The George Lawrence Company went out of business some time

ago. Shame. The company had it's beginning in 1857.

are covered in green today.

I got a chance to go out and try my new

Snow Peak Men's No.1 (again, I have no

idea why the "Men's" thing) cook pot.

Cooked some water up and had my last

package of Oreo Cookie Hot Chocolate.

(That stuff is SO good and I cannot find

more ANYwhere.) The pot is GREAT.

Worked just like a pot should.

Pretty chilly day out, but nice.

!!! Avocado Seed Update: Number Two !!!

Nuthin.

On Saturday February 1st I put this avocado seed

in water and posted a photo. I will update again

when something (or nothing) happens. It's fun!

 

This is a decal I bought somewhere at June Lake, CA.

When I was younger we used to go to there

every opening day. We almost lived there.

Fishing was a huge part of my life.

Rainbow trout. So, so good.

I bought a new piece of cookware. A Snow Peak Men's Kettle No. 1.

Not sure why the "Men's". Not sure why the "No 1". Maybe there is

a Snow Peak Women's Kettle No. 2 out there. I haven't seen it.

 

This Kettle is all stainless steel. It seems to be really well made and most

reviews are very positive. I can't wait to get out and do something with it.
And you know me. I will most likely take a picture of
it when I do.... even if I am just cooking water.

!!! Lethal Weapon House Sighting !!!

Yep, yet another sighting of Roger and Trish Murtaugh's

house from the Lethal Weapon movie series. It seems that they

have added a false roof with a roundish window which I am pretty

sure is temporary (as is everything else I suppose).

The house is on Blondie Street at the Warner Brothers Ranch lot in

Burbank California. I believe I have also heard this area referred to as

Morning Glory Circle. Today the street is being used for a Publisher's

Clearing House commercial with "Family Feud" host Steve Harvey.
