Over at one of our favorite places, the Indian Store, they

have some nice busts representing Native Americans

of various tribes. The gentleman above is of the
Arikara tribe out of Missouri.

And these gentleman (starting on the left) are from
the Apache tribe out of Arizona, the Chinook tribe
out of Washington and Oregon and the
Piegan tribe of Northern Montana.

A way long time ago when my son was little and my

beloved stepfather was still with us, I took my first

trip to the Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage.

The museum was very young then. While there I bought

this greeting card in the Museum Store as it
reminded me of my son and his grandpa as they
rode around The Ranch on the ATVs.

I framed it and we gave it to my stepfather. He hung
it up and it has been there ever since. It is a
great picture and a wonderful memory.

This fungus is growing on a log around here.

I don't know what kind (split gill?) it is.
I'm not in love with fungi.

I spotted a simple purple flower today.

Yep, I am trying to not collect stuff like this anymore

and for the most part I have been very successful at it.

But when I spotted this Friday the 13th Part 3 3D poster

box at Walmart, I knew I would KICK myself later if
I did not pick it up. I LOVE F13 and Part 3 is
my favorite of the series.

So I decided to use some of the birthday gift
money I had saved to buy it.

The box it comes in is actually very nice. It is collector

friendly as the front cover hinges open and closed
using a magnet. No ripping stuff apart.

This is the 3D box in the flesh. Now, do
I display it in the box? Or do I 86 the box
and hang the thing on the wall. Oh man. This
part is always difficult.

Walmart had other movie boxes as well. I remember seeing

boxes representing IT and Child's Play. There were probably

about four others, I cannot remember. The kind of tricky thing

with THIS box is that the blood you see dripping and pooling

there? The two little "blood" pieces come separately and it is
up to us to place them in the correct spots.

The bottom one was not too difficult, but the knife tip drip was
a bit of a bear. I had to use the tiniest bit of white glue to keep
it in place once I was able to get it into position.

You just gotta be prepared for that.

I really like this box. Not sorry I bought it.
 I mean, Part 3. That's my jam.

These Starkist Snack-To-Go Tuna Salad Kits are

pretty good. But at 130 calories and 3.5 grams of

fat (1.5g saturated fat) you don't want to eat a lot

of them. But every once in a while, a great treat.

!!! GHOST PEPPER UPDATE !!!

My little ghost pepper plant that I pruned on Friday, February 2
is making a comeback. I really didn't think it would. But it is
and I guess we start all over again. Maybe this time it will be
heartier and actually give us a pepper to try. That was the
goal. Bottom line? She's giving us another go so let's DO this.

I may start another one in a month or so.)

Trees and bushes are for when we are just too
tired and worn out to take our trash to a
waste receptacle.

Mother Nature is so accommodating.

Man, we've been waiting since 2007 for this. The movie

"Grindhouse" (2007) featured two movies within a movie.

Sandwiched between these two movies were faux movie

trailers, trailers for movies that would probably never be
made. But "Grindhouse" fans wanted to see some of these
movies come to fruition. We REALLY wanted
to see them.

Eli Roth finally did it. His faux trailer was for a movie called

"Thanksgiving" and now, "Thanksgiving" is a full length movie.

I cannot WAIT to see this one. I hope it is as good as the trailer is.

I will see it soon. But the Star Wars Film Festival is still happening

so "Thanksgiving" will screen right after that wraps up. Huzzah!

This is another decal I bought sometime in the

1960s at Rocky Mountain National Park in

Colorado during one of our cross country

adventures. I believe this decal is actually
from the 1940s to 1950s.

After viewing Episodes I through III and Rogue One, the
Star Wars Film Festival has indeed gone from six nights
to ten! Borden Cinema will continue tonight with the
Original Trilogy of Episodes IV through VI!

This is getting GOOD.

For Valentine's Day I am showing this
figure I bought a long time ago. It is
a Mezco Toyz Alice in Wonderland

Living Dead Doll. This is Inferno
as The Queen of Hearts.

I bought her for a low low price but she was never one

of my favorites. Her hair is all over her face. And
because I never wanted to open the box, I could not enjoy
her for that reason. Maybe someday I will open it up
and she will become a Top Five. Who knows!

I carried my Streamlight Stylus Pro 2AAA flashlight everywhere
for 15 years until last week when... the dang batteries leaked

and ruined it. This is the third flashlight that I have lost

by way of leaky batteries. Ack. And I do check the batteries

in all of my flashlights regularly in an effort to avoid this

situation, but it seems that some batteries have a schedule of
their own. And that was a good light too. 15 years.

I use my lights on a daily basis. I needed to replace it. So I did

that with this Streamlight MicroStream. This one has two modes:

Low is 50 lumens and high is 250. The light has a clicky switch

that allows for momentary on, a must for me.
(Please pardon the dust. *blush*)

But this time I went with a USB rechargable flashlight. I am
going to see how that works out for me. I have always gone
with lights that use alkaline batteries because if they go dead,
I have more at hand and they can be found anywhere.
But dang it, I don't want another light down due to a leak.
Balance I reckon. So a year or two, we will see.

Oh, and I really do like the new flashlight.
It is working out for me so far.
Never had a bad Streamlight.

But Fenix? That's a story for another day.

Tonight starts the Star Wars Six Night

Film Festival only at Borden Cinema!

We've been looking forward to this for ages!

With luck, it will morph into the Ten Night Festival

which would include Rogue One and the Sequel Trilogy.

Some folks may call this vintage.

I just call it Monday, April 30th, 2012.
