NDOTC is dedicated to (from the website) "preservation of America's
Cowboy heritage so that the history and culture which the United States
Congress's National Day of the Cowboy resolution honors, can be shared
and perpetuated for the public good, through education, the arts,
celebrations, gatherings, rodeos, and community activities."
And to celebrate this year I am posting a picture of
a sheriff badge that I bought during one of my visits
to the Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage at
Griffith Park, CA.
Tonight I will be watching a western movie classic: "Arizona"
(1940) starring Jean Arthur and William Holden. Old Tucson Studios
in Arizona was constructed in 1939 specifically for this movie.
