We got us some "cactus apples".
Or some folks call them "prickly pears". I'm not sure what the
real name is, but we got a lot of 'em. These are actually edible
and can be used for everything from jam to salad dressing.
I've never eaten one although we've had them around for years
and one day I should try them.
 
 
They usually just fall off and go back to Mother Earth.
